So I was talking to a coolerguy who told me he had a list of things to do from the wife... I don't give Mark lists (he does what he wants and I usually do what I want -things get done) ...so I started wondering about this

This is a question to all you men, hmmmm I want to know from the women too....

Do you get "Honey Do" lists?

how often?

whats on it?

men... do you think you get 'nagged'?

women... do you think you 'nag'?

do you men mind that you get the list?

anything else you would like to say?

Clue Master

Do you get "Honey Do" lists? Yes

how often? Only when there's an event coming up or going to the store

whats on it? Usually a few items that get added to my own huge list that I make for myself. Mostly shopping, organizing, creative jobs like figuring out something cool to get someone that has everything or planing a party.

men... do you think you get 'nagged'? Quite often

women... do you think you 'nag'? be truthful ladies

do you men mind that you get the list? Sometimes, if she knows my list is already huge and there's plenty of items that she can take care of.

anything else you would like to say? Not without getting into trouble

sometimes I make my own list....

sometimes I get a list....

I think it really comes down to a matter of "what the hell...you got 4 hours free????" hmmmm let me consume it for you....

Nagging doesn't usually enter the picture until I've ASKED at least 4-5 times. :eyeroll:

I got wondering if Mark saw things differently, he ALWAYS says I don't nag (something he loves about me) so I was afraid to ask him if he thinks I give him "honey do" lists. Turns out he said that the only thing I have really asked of him that was more important to me was to kill ALL spiders NOW when I see one! :pbpt:

A funny thing happened to a friend of mine. She was laid off her job and the first morning she was home she woke up to find a LONG list of chores for her to do that day. At the top it said "Jen...please do the following". Well you know that went over like a lead balloon. Like adding the word please would make it better. I can see some people would be concerned about the fact that she might get too complacent about not working, but she's not the type to lay around and do nothing. Needles to say he got an earful when he got home. I told her that she should have been on the couch, in her pajamas and fuzzy slippers, eating bon bons when he got home from work....THAT would have freaked him out! :worried:

Thats pretty much what I'm gonna do the 1st day I'm laid off. Exept I'll be eating Savoy pizza instead of bon bons. Oh and forget fuzzy slippers and pj's. I'm in my underwear.

    Sent: Saturday, October 8

    Subject: Buckets of Snot

    Hey Penguin-Boy,

The picture of the salps you sent was particularly disgusting in light of your comment that they look like snot. It's a glamorous job you've got down there. Hauling buckets of snot out of freezing cold water. Makes me want to roll the windows down, which I did since It Is Warm Here. And I went and had tamales at Conchita's just for you. And they were fabulous.

Okay, enough of being a bitch. Can't wait until you get home, even though I know you are actually in pig heaven out there freezing your ass off.

Lucky used to take me to Conchita's all the time. Can't stop thinking about him these days.

Remember that time I had to move back in with mom and dad because I was so broke, and everybody was telling me to quit the cards? Lucky told me to keep playing. 'Play harder,' he said. He said I would break through, that I'd be one of those people who made it. Like I'm going to be the next Chris Moneymaker.

Then when I lost really big, and I knew I had to walk away from the cards, you know, he tried to talk me out of it. He offered me the money I'd lost. And I told him to screw off and give the money to mom, and SHE told him to screw off and stop trying to bribe his way out of having Corrupted Her Daughter, and...

So there's this flaky good-natured con man trying to give away like a hundred grand and none of us will take it, and he was absolutely a bad influence and he was absolutely the one person in the family I loved the most-

--But I wouldn't talk to him anymore. And what I told myself was, Lucky was the one guy who could talk me into playing again. That's what I said. I was taking the moral high road, I was the GA Centerfold of the Month.

...except now sometimes I think maybe part of me was just ashamed to see him anymore because I was a loser.

        Loser.

        Loser.

        Loser.

And I was used to being a loser for everyone else (not counting Penguin Boy). But I couldn't bear to be a loser for him too.

        And then he was dead.

Christ, like you need to hear this. Go play with your snot.

    Yr crybaby sister

PF is down...soooo, I'm posting this here

It was a test we could all hope to pass

But none of us would want to take.

Faced with the choice to deny God to live,

For her, there was one choice to make.

This was her time. this was her dance.

She lived every moment; left nothing to chance.

    She swam in the sea; drank of the deep;

Embraced the mystery of all she could be.

    This was her time...

Though you are mourning and grieving with us,

    Death died a long time ago;

Swallowed in life so that life carries on.

Still itÂ’s so hard to let go.

This was her time. this was her dance.

She lived every moment; left nothing to chance.

    She swam in the sea; drank of the deep;

Embraced the mystery of all she could be.

What if tomorrow, and what if today,

    Faced with the question,

    Oh what would you say?

This is your time. this is your dance.

Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.

Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.

Follow the mercy and hear yourself praying.

    WonÂ’t you save me?

    WonÂ’t you save me?

This is your time. this is your dance.

Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.

Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.

Embrace the mystery of all you can be.

This is your time. this is your dance.

Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.

Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.

Embrace the mystery of all you can be.

    This is your time...

    (wonÂ’t you save me? )

    (this is your time)

    (wonÂ’t you save me? )

    Long, long ago

In a time that cannot even be remembered

A very lonely angel stood out, upon the farthest edge of heaven

There, he would sit for many hours at a time

Gazing down into the world, far below

From there, he could see all the different people of the world, dreaming

And living happily in the land of their own imagination

And he thought about this quite deeply

Poor angel, how sad he was

For there were no dreams in heaven

Nor did any of the other angels even talk of such things

Till one day, he became so unhappy that he cried out:

"I would forget heaven and all her angels, if I could just have one dream of my own!"

And as he sat back sobbing, a blinding light struck him

And a magnificent voice rang forth saying, "So you would rather forget us would you?

Then a lifetime of dreams shall be yours, if to this you agree:

Nothing of heaven shall you remember, not even the way to return.

You must leave us your memory for the exile you earn."

    "I agree!" cried the angel

Then over the edge of heaven he fell

Tumbling, tumbling down through the ages

    Remembering nothing as well

    ------------------------------------

I cannot remember my very first year,

My earliest questions, my very first tear.

    I've always been near.

    I've always been here,

With everyone else in this place.

I cannot remember, what scared me at night.

This dream I've been dreaming, I cannot recite.

Where am I? Where are we? Does anyone know?

I'm trying to remember ... which way shall I go?

    thanks ian

    Hey...oooh...

    Sheets of empty canvas

    Untouched sheets of clay

Were laid spread out before me

    As her body once did

    All five horizons

    Revolved around her soul

As the earth to the sun

Now the air I tasted and breathed

    Has taken a turn

Ooh and all I taught her was everything

Ooh I know she gave me all that she wore

    And now my bitter hands

    Chafe beneath the clouds

    Of what was everything

    Oh the pictures have

    All been washed in black

    Tattooed everything

    I take a walk outside

    I'm surrounded by

    Some kids at play

    I can feel their laughter

    So why do I sear

Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin

    Round my head

    I'm spinning

    Oh, I'm spinning

How quick the sun can, drop away...

    And now my bitter hands

    Cradle broken glass

    Of what was everything

    All the pictures had

    All been washed in black

    Tattooed everything

    All the love gone bad

    Turned my world to black

    Tattooed all I see

    All that I am

    All I'll be...

    Yeah

    Uh huh...uh huh...ooh...

I know someday you'll have a beautiful life

    I know you'll be a sun

    In somebody else's sky

    But why

    Why

    Why can't it be

    Why can't it be mine
