Good luck TV! The State is hard to get into but also hard to leave as well. I sure hope you're not keeping your job hunting a secret from your current employer.
My current employer doesn't know. There is nothing to gain from them knowing. If there was, they would be told, but all it could get me is fired before I was hired somewhere else. It would make going to work even more obnoxious.
I did hear about this new position from someone I currently work with so she knows, but she is also the one who encouraged me to move on. She has a keen sense and knows the job just isn't doable. She also told me to use her for a reference - and as far as references go, she's one of the tops.
If I indeed get this new job, I'll fill yaz in with how this is all playing out. I just don't want to jinx anything.
You know how some things just happen to fall into place? I think that is what's happening here. More to follow - after I can give notice where I am now.
In other news... and like I said in the other thread I'm not going to go into details....because it would just take to long to explain... but OTiS may or may not have a job.... when I'll know that is up in the air....SO you can imagine the stress for the last two weeks has been insane.
None of what I'm typing makes sense... but when things are clear one way or another I'll explain everything the best I can.

that exact thing happened to my dad a year or so ago. he wasn't happy in his management position, and went shopping for a new job. found one at west. after a week and a half there, he discovered it wasn't what they billed it out to be, and went back to the original job (his first mistake was that he didn't take 2 weeks worth of vacation for the trial period). by this time they know he's shopping. fortunately for him, by the time they'd found a replacement for him and fired him, he'd had a new job lined up to start a week after his last day at the foundry.
me2 and I are going to play golf at the Wilds This next mid- week in the morning (before 10) utilizing the pay the temperature deal (you pay a buck for every degree 1/2 hr before your tee time). Anybody interested in filling the foursome?
If I knew how to do any kind of golf other than disc, or mini, I'd probably be down.....But I think it would most likely take me a half hour to even hit a ball in the right direction....
Hey does anyone know where I can find an old street map of st paul? Say pre 1965?
a great read would be amything on the RONDO neighborhood in st paul history if this is the area you may be looking at - actually a sad story "rondo" is!
