eating a bunch of candy and getting that sugary - I can fly feeling - just like when I was a kid - only to find that the distance from the top of the couch to the floor has drastically been reduced in my old age...
Only having one pumpkin to carve! I used to carve nine, one for each child and two for hubby and myself. When they came out with those fancy kits I did that and after everyone moved out it became kind of stressfull having it clean and carve all those fancy pumpkins. But I did get lots of compliments on them.
So a couple of years ago I bought these really cool tin Jack-O-Lanterns at Sam's Club. A set of three, largest about 2 feet across, smallest about 1 foot. I just have to put tea lights in them and voila! And people still compliment me on my carving skills. The pumpkin I carve goes to the cemetery with a happy face.
i get in trouble every halloween because of pumpkins. god did not make me to get my hands dirty, and apparently its the daddy thing to do to help the kids carve pumpkins. wtf? my dad never carved pumpkins with us as kids. mom did all the icky stuff, and the carving for that matter when we were young. when we got older, we went the pre-illuminated route. whic, imho, works great!
Think that's about the only thing I really do for halloween these days.
i'm in charge of outdoor decoration (which this year amounted to a 50-light wire and plastic mesh pumpkin, and a score of lit pumpkins in the window boxen.
come christmas, however......
we were at target the other day, and for 12 bucks, they're selling sets of led lights. doing the math, i could put a half million of those babies on the house before our main breaker blew.
The boyfriend decorates his house for Halloween. It's his fav. holiday. He has a tunnel of terror and from the front to the back yard every room has halloween lights and sound and animation - you name it.
but no real pumpkins - says they are too squishy.
I'm just not a real big fan of cleaning them up all moldy off my porch in like Feburary when I finally realize it's time to toss it out.
I told this guy that he was too old to Trick or Treat when he came to my house. But Tim's right, once he told me it wasn't who I thought it was and it was him, I had to agree, he really does have a sweet ass homeade halloween costume. He even had the cane and everything.
and the company of friends for lunch on a nice day -thanks everyone
- FYI-I kicked kitches buttskie :sheepish:   and a little toasted too
 Sheesh - OOOps wrong thread.

Making homemade pizza and sitting in a room full of lit scented candles. mmmm. yummy.
