Congrats OT! this is great.

Dark Chocolate covered espresso beans.

Knowing a serving is 25 beans and I could never eat an entire serving in one sitting.

no, they don't have those there.

One of my best friends is a manager of the one near me - meaning I get extra carmel, extra whipped cream, and extra squishes of flavor syrups.

I'm on my second cup today... flying high again.

That's great news, Terry! So you're a state employee now? What will you be doing?

It is super news! I will be the Office Manager for the Office of Ombudsperson for Families. Its a new position. They haven't had any support in that office and I will be it. I will be getting that office organized and running well. Some of it will be grunt work setting up a filing system and all that jazz, but it will be my job and my system.

I am so excited I could bust a button.

When I called the benefits person with a couple of questions, she told me the people in my new office said I was the answer to their prayers.

I'm really happy to see you so enthused about this job. And working with families is right up your alley, isn't it? It's also nice to hear you'll be welcomed with open arms!

Families and system changes is right up my alley. It's where my heart sings and to be able to support the good work that is done in that office, absolutely thrills me.

great news Terry - Ombudsman (persons now?) are fantastic. I was actually a senior citizen advocate one for several years. Rewarding work - and the type of people who go into it are heart felt and kind. Make for good office mates.

enjoy - spaghetti with sauce made from everything straight out of my garden. Hot fresh garlic bread to dip in the sauce.

mmmmm

oh yeah - and a bottle of Conn Creek 1999 Merlot to go with it all.

watching my large dog play with my friends 3 year old. he nibbles him like he's trying to mother him like a cat with her kittens.

the dog didn't want him to run away - so he head butted him to knock him down - then wrapped his paws around him and layed on top of him so he could clean his forehead. when the kid tried to squirm away he scooted him across the hardwood floor.

good thing the kid had a sense of humor cause all the adults were laughing too hard to stop the licking.

The snowglobes are way cool. I think they would all look better in your yards tho - being as you actually have snow.

Somehow I think it looks like a crock on green grass. (or in my case - brown weeds)

Enjoy = making plans with my boy to go up with a group of friends to the snow on christmas eve. We are taking trailers up with us, and are loading up tons and tons of snow and then bringing it down to shovel into the yards of children with cancer and incurable diseases so they can wake up with snow in their front yard on christmas morning.

I'm super excited. Last year (before I knew I couldn't make the hunt back there) I got a pair of columbia boots that go to -40 for $20 bucks at REI - a new snow jacket and gortex snow pants!

I'm gonna be jumping in drifts right and left!!!

...now it needs to stop being 70+ degrees and start snowing.

and then topped with enchilada sauce and more guac, salsa and sour cream.

I ate it 3 hours ago and I am still stuffed.

Funny you should ask, CM. I checked weather.com about half an hour ago to see what the forecast is for the weekend and was surprised to see that 70 degree temp.

My new Schick Quattro Power 4 blade razor. Closest shave I've ever had. Still smooth as a baby's behind even this late in the day.

yup - what's your theory? They have them for chicks too.

It makes for real easy cleanup. Not sure if it makes a difference in that actual shaving quality though. Those 3 strips and 4 blades do that by themselves.

a while ago I wrote this derranged blog about it. My theory is they are the vanilla version of a vibrator.. etc.
