CM - I have no idea who that is. I don't watch TV much (the last real full show I watched was back in April) I only see 2-3 movies a year. This year I saw 4!! - that was a record!!! (sideways, bewitched, lords of dogtown and the 40 yr old virgin)

oddly enough if you name most pop culture adult movies (comedies, dramas etc) I for some wierd reason may know the name of someone who starred in it (i.e. too much people magazine) but aside from that - I'm kinda in the dark.

I just don't have the patience to sit still that long.

I'm sorry L4V - I thought you were actually being sarcastic because that's a well know character from the most successful movie series of all time. Maybe you heard of it?

i've never seen a starwars!

I've also only ever seen 1 horror movie (pet cemetary) that one scared me so bad - I said never again - so forget friday the 13th, halloween, nightmare on elm street etc.

you can add - star trek, all the lord of the rings, harry potter, top gun, any bruce lee movie, any of the terminators, any of the spiderman, superman, batman, superhero movies oh yeah and I've never seen ET in english only in Spanish.

The thing I tend to watch, if I watch anything at all are the release direct to video or sundance movies.

Is this where I'm suppose to say.... joe

I'm not sure what that means and why you guys post that all the time, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the number of posts.

It takes almost a month for it to get here, Kitch. Also, it's three times as much to get it to Minnesota. I had mine sent to my dad's office in River Falls and went over and got it. Saved 60 dollars.

Kitch - you can find the Reserve Chardonnay, the Cabernet, the Merlot, the Sauvignon Blanc and some prolly the Reserve Cabernet at higher end stores.

Bear - what is the name of that one fancy pants wine shop I asked you about like a year ago? I know they sell it.

and Bear is right - it's way cheaper to have it sent to Wisconsin. I don't think it takes as long to order it over the net and have it shipped as it does to order it in the tasting room (as bear did) cause it comes from our centeral distribution warehouse - not the tasting room.

I used to be a 90210 junkie. I love TV, I just can't bring myself to sit down and watch it. So I got rid of the one in the living room. There is now only one in my roommates room (granted he has dish and every channel imaginable)

So it's much easier not to watch it, if you don't have control of the remote.

The Wine Market by Kowalski's (www.thewine market.us) will be the first retail store to open. Their venture will be followed in short order by E's Cheese, Caribou Coffee, Cold Stone Creamery, Vera's Salon Spa, Fantastic Sam's and H&R Block.

"I don't think you'll see anything like it in the metro area," Bob Kowalski said of the wine shop at 720 Main St., Suite 101.

The Kowalskis seem to be sparing no expense to make the wine-buying experience enjoyable, down to details such as the 651-452-WINE phone number.

The store's elegant, earth-toned décor will include an ornate 7-foot-2 patinated bronze statue of "Stella," the "goddess of wine," with a water fountain trickling from her vase. "It will set a stage for relaxation," Bob Kowalski said.

A wine-tasting room with a 10-foot carved table under a wrought-iron chandelier will occupy the rear of the store. The goal, Bob Kowalski said, is to create a place to "hang out and stay.''

Some of the 13,000 bottles in stock will be stored on 8-foot high mahogany wall racks. The inventory will cover the spectrum, from $5.99 "value" wines to high-end vintages.

ahhh...so they don't have thunderbird.......but I can still aford something...heh

but I'm 90% sure there is not a price on any bottle in the store...how the hell do I know what i'm buying....christ..If I gotta ask I can't afford it right??

Here are my top wine picks for this year to be served with the Traditonal Thanksgiving Spread (i.e. Turkey, Stuffing, etc)

Fess Parker's Syrah - excellent, has just the right amount of Gamey-ness to complement a good bird. Fess Parker Syrah

Villa Mt. Eden Pinot Noir - Jolly Rancher Peach Hard Candy like tones with spice and a hint of tobacco. It's got the typical cherry etc, but man on man, this stuff is way good! If all Pinot Noir was like this - I would actually drink the stuff more than just on Thanksgiving. Villa's Yummy to my Tummy Pinot

and lastly a good Viognier (if you prefer white with your meal instead of Red) Abundance makes a really good one (and it's reasonable too) Abundance Viognier My favorite Viogniers are both ones that are not sold commercially - I just get a bottle and go to a friends cellar and fill it up, but the Abundance is what good Viognier should taste like.

and for dessert - Chocolate infused Port!

Trentadue makes an excellent one! Chocolate Port
