just did some examining of the coolercrew logs. ya know those porn sites that link to us that i've been talking about? as it turns out the requests with them as the referers are coming from a single ip address in canada. and what's weirder is that they're not downloading any pictures; just the front page.

Can I at least have access to see the thread? I won't say anything, or you can mark me as read only. You wanted me not to have a soapbox from which to talk from, and at least give Nick a chance to defend himself. Can I at least be able to refute things he may say, or offer further questions to ask? I won't do it direct in the thread, but via means outside it.

Yeah, I'm fine with it, if it means that this is going by the book and he has no way to argue it. We've tried to do it by the book so far, no reason to stop now.

I wanted to respond to something in here, because I think it pertains more to the moderator discussion, and Coco wants things to die down in the main thread. I know that Jake was banned and given the chance to come back. How long was the time frame between when he was banned and when he came back though? It wasn't overnight. This harassment has gone on for six months plus. To me, I think what Nick has done is worse than what Jake has done.

I hope you understand that I feel you shouldn't have a vote because of your closeness to the situation. If any moderators here disagree with that, please speak up.

However, I've also recused myself from voting.

I do this as to not make it look like I'm the one deciding should Nick be allowed back in, and to keep an odd number of votes so as to not have a tie.

That being said, when this mess is done, I'm done with being moderator.

FWIW, even my friends (the breakfast club) are pissed about how the moderator board was created.

I agree, but it's one of those kind of things like my people at work always bitching that the same people always get the overtime and when you ask them they decline.

I think there should be a vote if there are going to be moderators but I don't see any more than 10 'regular' posters on here to begin with. Or the fact that people come and go. If you asked me 6 months ago who I thought should be a moderator I would have thought 3M would have been a good choice. But he hasn't even been here lately. I guess it's really not that big of a deal and this Nick thing will probably be the biggest thing we might face, but if there is a vote needed on something, it could be awhile to get all 7 of us to chime in. As it is in the other thread right now.

I think the choices for moderators were good too. It's not that you chose friends. The moderators were chosen because they could bring something to the table. Not everyone can be a moderator. They may see it as glamorous or enviable job to have, but I think this is just showing that it can be a hard position to be in.

One of the major things I like is that just about anytime of the day or night there is one of us logged in.

I was hoping the same thing, but that doesn't seem to be working. It appears theres some questions as to who is and isn't moderator and why.... I can see why I guess.

Personally, I don't give a rats ass anymore, and I'm not saying that just to "Pick up my marbles and go home".

I honestly don't care anymore. I just want to come here and chat with everyone, and have fun and not have to deal with this stuff.
