I'm here on a break from work - so I can't work on reformulating the Code right now. If someone else wants to take a crack at it, that would be super so we keep these tweaks moving forward until we're all satisfied with the results.

I think it should be posted like the movie poster was back in pf. All by itself so you never need to wonder where it is. And set it up for view only.

TMK - Along with the code of conduct, we will need to make a statement regarding Nick's being banned.

The following is for discussion:

The moderators of the Cooler Crew Refugee Camp, after a great deal of thought and discussion, have come to the unanimous decision to let the banning of the poster known as Wicked Nick stand.

Then, either publicly or by some direct contact with Nick, we tell him our decision that he is banned until and if he clears this matter up through legal channels.

We could make that a part of our statement as well, but Nick won't have access to that.

I thought that Nick was going to be let back in. I'm not going to complain though. We were able to prove through the legal channels that he did this. If he feels that it wasn't him, he certainly can use the legal channels to clear his name.

Are we going to tell the public that he can get back in if he can clear this up through legal manners?

I'm out of time tonight but I do think that Nick should be contacted 1st before posting the announcement to the crew. I was actually wondering if we even needed to make a public post about Nick being banned. Officially, Nick was never let back in. And other than THX posting something to the contrary, it was never official. Especially because THX wasn't even part of the mods when he posted that.

Did any of you say anything privately to the contrary to anyone?

I just don't want to stir things up again if they don't need to be. Either way Nick needs to be notified.

THX's post. He had access to the discussion thread before he left. I figured you guys had decided to let him back in, but you wanted to get the code of conduct done before you let him back in.

Also I guess just resignation that things just weren't going to work out. That everything we had tried, the truth was there but nothing was being done with it. Well, something was being done with it, but we felt more could have been done.

I think that sounds fine. I don't have any relationship with Nick at all...but if you want to give me a way to contact him, I will.

If the Code of Conduct brings the matter up again, then what? I would rather be prepared than not.
