Yeah, they're goobers, OT. The way it worked was like this: I got X salary, Y bonuses, and Z comission. But, they don't pay the Y until 60 days forward. So, while I'd get a set amount for December, I wouldn't actually HAVE any of it until March.

Wouldn't you at least get X? And maybe Z?

I don't blame you. My daughter-in-law took a job under similar circumstances. X wasn't enough, Y she wasn't eligible for until down the pike, and she didn't have enough clients to get much Z. So she quit.

Katie's last day of public school is today.

I'm yanking her out and putting her back into the private school.

but she already seems excited about the change....so I hope I made the right choice.

I think you're doing the right thing. And that IB K-12 program will be the first thing to get cut when they try to pass another referendum and it doesn't pass. Isn't it just a trial program now?

it is a trial program...but its what does bring in extra students = extra $$ so I've got a feeling they will keep it..

Its a good program...I liked it and see benefits....its just that katie is VERY impressonable and she picks up things extremely fast.

Coming home and listening to a message on my voice mail that starts with, "This is ____________ with the Dakota County Sheriffs Department". :eek: Turns out they're doing a background check on a kid I know who they might hire and wanted to ask me some questions about him. Whewwwww!

So the job that was six weeks before getting anything asked me to come down to their office in minneapolis today. Told me they'd be willing to talk about an offer for an advance for the first six weeks, so I laid everything out, said what I needed, then by 11:30 they send back a "we can't do it, but thanks for stopping by."

What the flying fuck???
