I could stay awake just to hear you breathing Watch you smile while you are sleeping While you’re far away dreaming I could spend my life in this sweet surrender I could stay lost in this moment forever Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure
Don’t want to close my eyes I don’t want to fall asleep Cause I’d miss you baby And I don’t want to miss a thing Cause even when I dream of you The sweetest dream will never do I’d still miss you baby And I don’t want to miss a thing
Lying close to you feeling your heart beating And I’m wondering what you’re dreaming Wondering if it’s me you’re seeing Then I kiss your eyes And thank God we’re together I just want to stay with you in this moment forever Forever and ever
Don’t want to close my eyes I don’t want to fall asleep Cause I’d miss you baby And I don’t want to miss a thing Cause even when I dream of you The sweetest dream will never do I’d still miss you baby And I don’t want to miss a thing
I don’t want to miss one smile I don’t want to miss one kiss I just want to be with you Right here with you, just like this I just want to hold you close Feel your heart so close to mine And just stay here in this moment For all the rest of time
Don’t want to close my eyes I don’t want to fall asleep Cause I’d miss you baby And I don’t want to miss a thing Cause even when I dream of you The sweetest dream will never do I’d still miss you baby And I don’t want to miss a thing
Don’t want to close my eyes I don’t want to fall asleep I don’t want to miss a thing  ::sigh::
Hey me2 - I have this growing fascination with Camp Coldwater and Coldwater Spring. Especially now that it's open to the public once again. But I couldn't find anything that shows how to get in there. It's by Fort Snelling and Minnehaha Creek. It sounds like it might even be down towards Mendota a bit. Any idea?
yeah, there is a historical marker out on shepard road (near the flour mill) that is close to where the cave was. If you wander down the hill, there's an outlet where the water flows into the river, That would be what remains of the cave.
Exit 55 on E. 54th street, heading east. Turn right (south) on frontage road. Go about a block to the gate of the old Bureau of Mines. Follow driveway left, past two blue brick buildings. Look for a huge weeping willow on the right.
The hours are: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-3:00 pm, Monday-Friday, holidays excluded.
The Feds are VERY protective of their empty buildings! Do not go anywhere near them. You ARE allowed on the property though. For more info, check out the website.
Thanks a lot Mucky. That's a great site. I'll probably head over there tomorrow. I don't know why I'm so obsessed with this place. I feel like Richard Dryfus felt when he was trying to come up with Devils Tower in Close Encounters. There's gotta be some reason I need to go there. Huh
nice to see he asked ME the question and everyone else answered
it is a wonderful secluded area - one of my favorites- and you know me and caves, I have a lot of information on Fountain Cave and Pigs Eye - just got done emailing with a friend about venturing under Irvine Park soon to the cave and lake under it.
There's a cave and a lake under irvine park? Can I go?
Cool, I'd love to find out more about fountain cave sometime if you wouldn't mind sharing. I sure wish there was a way to see it still, but being all sealed off with a roadway over it, probably lost for good.
part of Fountain was caved in on purpose when Shepard road was put in- I can talk caves and streams under St Paul all day. I'll let you know KC, I am gonna call him. It will probably be illegal though whatever we do- nothing knew
Ot. Hold your mouse button down at the beginning of the song and while it's still down drag it to the last word. It will all turn blue. Then right click your RIGHT mouse button and select "copy" from the menu. Then come to the post page and right click in the post area and select "paste". It wil put all the words you selcted and copied earlier into the post. Then just post it.
Did you get a phone yet? I was able to leave you a message a week (or so) ago, but now the Nextel subscriber I am trying to reach is not available... :frown:
Brooke and I are going to play Bingo tonight, I think...it's kind of fun once in a while
some of you know I have a rock and brick collection:
Check this out! if you want to buy any I can pick them up for you- I am going next week- I talked to Brent on the phone and he said he is saving me some and I may be able to pick them out.
Sample the tequila to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the tequila again. To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again.
At this point it's best to make sure the tequila is still OK. Try another cup...just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
Pick the frigging fruit up off floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver.
Sample the tequila to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something. Check the tequila. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the tequila and wipe counter with the cat.
Maybe not Vikings. Nielsen and Wolter suggest that the guys kicking around in west-central Minnesota 130 years before Christopher Columbus hit the shore had a religious mission and were related to the Knights Templar of "The Da Vinci Code'' fame.
His grandfather said he discovered the buried stone as he was uprooting a tree on his land. It contained a message carved in runes, an ancient alphabet. Translators said it describes a mission of exploration by "8 Goths and 22 Norwegians'' and refers to fishing and the deaths of 10 companions.
I'd spend a lifetime diggin' if I lived on that land.
I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you’re far away dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure
Don’t want to close my eyes
I don’t want to fall asleep
Cause I’d miss you baby
And I don’t want to miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I’d still miss you baby
And I don’t want to miss a thing
Lying close to you feeling your heart beating
And I’m wondering what you’re dreaming
Wondering if it’s me you’re seeing
Then I kiss your eyes
And thank God we’re together
I just want to stay with you in this moment forever
Forever and ever
Don’t want to close my eyes
I don’t want to fall asleep
Cause I’d miss you baby
And I don’t want to miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I’d still miss you baby
And I don’t want to miss a thing
I don’t want to miss one smile
I don’t want to miss one kiss
I just want to be with you
Right here with you, just like this
I just want to hold you close
Feel your heart so close to mine
And just stay here in this moment
For all the rest of time
Don’t want to close my eyes
I don’t want to fall asleep

Don’t want to close my eyes
I don’t want to fall asleep
I don’t want to miss a thing

I'm scared, I'm scared, I'm scared
I'm scared, so scared
I'm scared, I'm scared, I'm scared
As the years roll away
And the price that I paid
And the straws slips away
You don't have to suffer
It is what it is
No bell book or candle
Can get you out of this, oh no!
I'm scarred, I'm scarred, I'm scarred
I'm scarred, uh huh
I'm scarred, I'm scarred, I'm scarred
Every day of my life
I just manage to survive
I just wanna stay alive
You don't have to worry
In heaven or hell
Just dance to the music
You do it so well, well, well!
Hatred and jealousy, gonna be the death of me
I guess I knew it right from the start
Sing out about love and peace
Don't wanna see the red raw meat
The green eyed goddamn straight from your heart
I'm tired, I'm tired, I'm tired
Of being so alone
No place to call my own
Like a rollin' stone
Was it in a dream, was it just a dream?
I know, yes I know
Seemed so very real, it seemed so real to me
Took a walk down the street
Thru the heat whispered trees
I thought I could hear (hear, hear, hear)
Somebody call out my name as it started to rain
Two spirits dancing so strange
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Dream, dream away
Magic in the air, was magic in the air?
I believe, yes I believe
More I cannot say, what more can I say?
On a river of sound
Thru the mirror go round, round
I thought I could feel (feel, feel, feel)
Music touching my soul, something warm, sudden cold
The spirit dance was unfolding
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?
Ah! b'wakawa pouss?, pouss?

.......
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

I have read quite a bit on this and Larry Millett wrote a Sherlock Holms story around it-
very cool but we will probably never know the truth
