I knew you would be THX. I was waiting to see which one of us was going to break and post it first.
I made it farther than I usually do. I still don't show any of my humbugness in front of the kid anyway. I live through her in that respect, but I know I wouldn't celebrate it if she weren't around.
Maybe it was always like that and I just didn't notice
See my post above where I said I don't let the kid see my grinch side.
I find it kinda funny that my mom must feel comfortable enough to say she thinks it's a crock too. As she's dropping off 40 presents at my house so she doesn't have to do it on Christmas. I haven't bought one present yet. :eyeroll:
It wasn't always this way. I still enjoy the TV specials, the lights, trees etc. I just don't feel like putting all the effort into it is all. I even enjoy the family I guess. But that's always a hurry up and lets do this then this then this then bye. What happened to the napping?
I'm giving the notices tonight and tomorrow for the last day on the 30th. It really sucks when you're forced to do this because of a union agreement that was voted on 4 years ago when most of my employees weren't even here to vote on it. And because you have to lay them off in order of seniority, you don't get to keep the ones you like to keep.
Thanks PM - The only thing harder than laying someone off that didn't do anything to deserve it is confronting someone about their poor hygiene. Think about it. It's a pretty touchy subject and needs to be handled very carefully. Luckily I've only needed to do that twice and not for many years now.
I had to tell someone that once...it was the single worst meeting ever!!!!! Even worse is he told us the reason why is because he was currently homeless......
they're coming. i hav to take them still. although i did get some nice pics of the canadian pacific holiday train last night which i'll be posting later on today.
I'm waiting for the day when my mother loses me in a store (which she does often) and goes up to have me paged to the courtesy desk and some how slips in the page - and by the way...
I've had to fire my whole staff once and the only person getting transfered was me. My boss was impressed and said not even he coulda done that. I never had to do it during the holidays though- :frown: I know you've been through alot yourself this year - stay strong- big huggs-I am soooo so sorry about that mess at work-
oh that picture of a scrub brush? I thought at first it was one of those holders with tube shots at the bar -that maybe if he had a drink he wouldn't smell the guy

That makes me bah humbug.
Spent 5 hours with my MOTHER in a car last night driving around town looking at xmas lights. She likes to count inflatable grinches.
I musta been in the wrong thread
Sorry, Christmas has become a crock.
It's all about consumerism, gifts, lights, family fighting... Things that shouldn't matter.
Maybe it was always like that and I just didn't notice. I do know it's gotten worse....
They can keep the rest of it.
