just a head's up in case anyone's interested, starting on the 14th of january, our little megan will be selling girl scout cookies for the very first time.
One time I was talking about my Mom's birthday coming up. A gal there said her Grandma's was on the same day. I said it was my Mom's 96th and she said her Grandma was going to be 96 too! Same birthday, same year, lived in same town, and both still alive!
and I'm forgetting stuff since I just slogged like 200 posts in here.
OT - You are Young. My mom is 69 and my step dad is 83 this year.
Otis - your grandparents are young! My Grandfather (only one still living) will be 94 on Jan 2. My Gran would have been 96. Her best friend is turning 100 this year and her other one is 98, and I got xmas cards from both of them.
I don't tip my mailman cause he's an ass. I don't get the paper, and my garbage guy is the next door neighbor - so I give him wine anyway.
oh and We don't have sirens of any kind out here for anything - air raid (most likely) / tornado (seen a few funnels in the past) or flooding storm (what gets us every year)
also - As much as I love snow, and can't wait to shovel it into trucks on christmas eve to take to cancer kids - I would never ever want to shovel my drive way/walk way. I don't even mow my lawn but once a year.
no kidding. our city statutes say that we must leave our bins by the garage on trash day and that the hauler must return them to their original location. (they've gotta be out of sight the rest of the time). every week i've gotta go pick ours up from halfway down the driveway after negotiating the car around it cuz its smack in the middle of the driveway. one of these days i gotta call and complain about that.
yeah we do. but its the responsibility of the driver (or someone else on the truck) to get the bin, haul it to the truck, push the button, and then rollit back up the driveway.
I wonder if it's because of the way things look in our neighborhood after they come through. They purposely toss the recycle buckets and trash cans so you can tell they were there. The whole area looks like a mess for 3 or 4 hours each Thursday. Many aren't picked up until 6-7:00.
Speaking of spam, I've been getting all sorts of spam to my work address - instead of winning a million now it's a job offer to cash checks for nigerian nationals, as long as you send along your social security number, etc.
Happy B-day Mucky!
43-3/24
Glad someones older than me besides OT.
TC - Sorry about your loss. What else is there to say?

he didn't even get out of his truck...and he came and hour early....lucky I had my garbage out on the street.
Oh... and Vino we also share the 9-21 sisterhood with Coco!
I am so sorry to hear your sad news MM.... a lot of new angels this year eh?
hmm - perhaps cause if you count back 9 months you get drunken christmas party sex...
3m - you are correct.. mudslide sirens would help in some areas of Hwy 1.
The creeks go over here a lot - and stupid people who live near them - get flooded out year after year.
get $500 to blow for free*!
