Try Sportsman's Guide. I bought a pair of $120 Rocky hikers with 800 grams Thinsulate for $62 there yesterday. A gift for one of my sons.

Seeing Minneapolis on The Amazing Race and it not being Minneapolis. Then the only representation is a late flight to Montreal on NWA. :eyeroll:

My space heater blowing another fuse and not having a replacement. I went to two places to buy some yesterday and both were out. So now I have to clean off the Jeep and venture out in this snow. Guess I'll go check out the new Menards.

Major irritation! Amazon.com emailed me saying my electric football game was in stock. So I click on the link and add it to my cart. At the top of the page there's a statement saying, "Save $30 on this item". It's an application for an Amazon Visa but I figure why not? Made sense to pay $44 instead of $77. It also said it only takes seconds to be approved. I read all the fine print and it's 0% for six months and I planned on paying it off first billing. So I fill out the application and when I submitted it it said that Chase Visa needed to verify information and my card would be coming in 1-2 weeks!

As if that wasn't bad enough, when I went to "purchase now", they had tacked on over $20 for shipping fees! Standard shipping! PLUS! It said the item would be delivered February 13th!

Needless to say, I backed out of the transaction but now I'm going to be getting a credit card I didn't really want anyway.

Yes, I plan on doing that. I just paid off my charge cards this Fall and I'm not going to fall into that trap again.

X who is "crazy in love" now, and for some reason feel it's his sworn duty to tell me about it.

There is a reason I am NOT YOUR GIRL anymore, I don't really care why the new one likes to be your girl so much.

ok, I know you all are gonna call me Yella, or something - but blame it on the fact that I've acclimated to the weather out here.

It's 11:15 (am) and only 42 degrees outside, fogged into 1/4 mile visability. This morning when I left for work it was 34. It got up to about 48, and was clear and now it's not and it's getting COLDER.

This is odd for us out here. Everyone thinks maybe we wil get some frozen dew drops to call snow.

oh - the irritated part. I have on a pretty snowman shirt today - and no one can see it, cause I have my winter parka on over it.

Yeah - sometimes I think that someday when we have kids that I would want to be a stay at home mom, but then I think about all the crap I hate doing. But then again it's better than an 8 hour day at the old salt mine. Then coming home and having to do half of the crap anyway.
Fri, 12/16/2005 - 12:26 PM Permalink

And it's way cheaper than day care.

And better...

I'm always puzzled at friends of mine. She said she could NEVER be a stay at home mom. They pay $900 for daycare for one child. They pay someone to clean their house, mow their lawn, plow their driveway, decorate their house, paint the walls.

They are so busy working--- that they're paying everyone to live their lives for them.

When I was going to college they had the smoking area out on a deck, I used to go out there in a T shirt to tease the people from places like Texes. They would be all bundled up and shivering and would just stare at me and say thats just wrong. I would reply welcome to Minnesocold LOL.
