Speaking of old stuff, I got an insert in my tax statement from our summer place in Bayfield County, WI about an elk skeleton and fluted point spearhead that was discovered in one of the lakes in our chain. It's been examined by anthropologists and is now considered a "dig site" by the Wisconsin Division of Historic Preservation. The elk antlers are 8x6 and both the skeleton and spearhead are estimated to be between 9,000 and 11,000 years old! Pretty cool!
Also found out a hunter shot and killed our albino deer. :frown:
there is an albino squirrel and black squirrel on one block in highland park that I get to enjoy almost daily while taking Whitney to school. They have been there for at least 8 years - I don't know how long squirrels live -I'm waiting for them to mate and make white with black pokadot babies :grin:
