Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:21 PM Permalink

I'd be there in a flash...if I could get outta work that day, but that's not to be this week.

I started out with nothing & still have most of it left.

Hey Green!

The treasure has been found at a rec center before!

Hear Ye, Hear Ye

The place is Newell, you can trust me on that; when have I ever been wrong? It all fits: the tennis courts, the fact that Newell's region of St. Paul is due for the Medallion, and the fact that my reasoning is always right! (Who can forget my location of the Franco-Ojibway War's key battle in Como in '96?)

thanks for the greetin lifter i posted a joke late last night, dont know if anyone saw it though

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:28 PM Permalink
Newell Pfool

Of course there was no Franco-Ojibway War, but does that really matter? When the medallion turns up at Newell, I will be the first one there! Just like last year!

The paper is available at 11:30 every night of the hunt. If the hunt isn't going on, I haven't a clue!

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:32 PM Permalink
Newell Pfool

It should be Birdie, though I am not sure it is worth a special trip this early. This part of the Hunt is for theories and wild-luck digging.

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:32 PM Permalink
Birdie15

oh, so technically, the clue is out now?

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:32 PM Permalink
George_Y2G_

we all must play sometimes Lifter

Jett

I know it is quite a stretch but I figured I would throw it out anyway. I was at the mall tonight and a picture of snoppy caught my eye. It was Snoppy sitting on top of his dog house with the caption "flying ace". Do you think "ace" in the clue has anything to do with Peanuts? After all the guy behind it did retire this year.

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:32 PM Permalink
George_Y2G_

It might be

Paper is available at 11:30--looking out the window, there are no cars on Cedar--no fever yet!

Map Guy

Keep on hitting it!

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:34 PM Permalink

The Snoopy thing is what brought me to Dunning last night. Charles Schultz is a graduate of St. Paul Central High School.

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:34 PM Permalink
Downtown Dave

Born in MPLS--moved as small child to Snelling and Selby above O'garas

Does anyone else get an rush and an unsettling feeling in your stomach when the clue appears? Or maybe I am just weird. . . . or maybe both.

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:34 PM Permalink
Snow Lifter

Jett...that is a really great idea...Except for the fact that the Mall of America is in Bloomington>

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:34 PM Permalink
Newell Pfool

Minneapolis and St. Paul (he grew up near O'Gara's)

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:34 PM Permalink
George_Y2G_

Central is near Dunning and there is no way that it would be hidden at that broke up park.

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:35 PM Permalink
Downtown Dave

Snoopy from Sopwith Camel Flying Ace Terry? oops, white conversion van going down cedar....

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:35 PM Permalink
Jett

Yea and its not considered public property. I just meant that maybe peanuts is tied in somehow with the ace thing. Maybe buried in something or a huge dog house as a landmark. I don't really know. But you know how these people that are behind the clues are.

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:36 PM Permalink
Snow Lifter

I feel it too Birdie. I get all jittery, like I'm nervous or something. Maybe its because I am in such a desperate situation...I dunno

Parks

Someone asked earlier about a good site for park information. The above link is the best I've found.

Though I must say the new Treasure Hunter's Guide is quite comprehensive!

Nothing much really shovel.

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:39 PM Permalink
George_Y2G_

Financial Woes Lifter?? Dont get me started

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:39 PM Permalink
Terry

Dunning is considered public property and Central is clearly in view from there. Though if it's all dug up, that would shoot that theory!

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:39 PM Permalink
George_Y2G_

its a theory Jett, might come into play later

Believe me George..you are still in college.....woe is me...

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:40 PM Permalink

Someone mention PalACE rec center.

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:40 PM Permalink
Downtown Dave

Well lifter, you could go with St. Anthony of Padua, patron of the poor, or St. Anthony, patron of lost things......
