That would be sweet!

Isn't palace a little small. My grandma lives nearby and from what I remember it would not be able to support a group of people searching for ten grand.

I think I'll pray to all three briefly Dave...thanks for the suggestions

Just tryin to make Birdie feel good Jett, its his life dream to have it at palace

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:44 PM Permalink
MIKEK

palace is no smaller than conway

Birdie15

I live across the street from Palace and it is very small for a hunt.

If you want that chunk of change, you cannot be a slouch, all the money you'll ever need is in the cushions of your couch.

-sorry, I felt like dumping some half a$$ed creativity on all of you tonight-

All clues point to palace? There have only been two! Heh, the clues could be interpreted to fit a lot of parks. Basically its sit and wait for the next clue, and then retrospectively go back to tie the old clues in with the new guesses as to where its hidden..

Thanks shovelmaster I needed that after a long night of studying.

Good Evening, all!

Is anyone else having trouble waiting another 15 minutes for the clue??!

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:46 PM Permalink

ThoseMedallingKids is absolutely right. I couldn't of said it any better

Palace is 1/5 the size of Conway Rec Center.

Not me. I took a nap and just got up so it will be 15 minutes before my brain starts to work again.

Hi Mom! I've been noodling past hiding spots and other trivia trying to pass the time. It's getting ridiculous. Last year we would have had the clue by now.

Mon, 01/24/2000 - 11:48 PM Permalink
ShovelMaster

I agree with you: Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy & Scooby. By clue 2 we usually know absolutely nothing. It will all make more than enough sense in 10 short days from now, but all the clues point to everywhere and very well might for quite some time. All the way up through the translucent peak clue last year, I could've shown you at least 5 parks that could have legitimately fit every clue.

Yep it is almost time, anyone got a cell phone down to the press building, if we get the clue from someone in line we can post it here before it comes out on the planet, now that would be irony!

I still think the capitol grounds area.

I get so anxious this time of year (bugging out at my computer seriously) this stuff gets to me. Its like we've all got a real chance at winning the lottery.

JUST KIDDING ALL, making birdie feel good by saying it was at palace, you guys are going after me as bad as you were going after Derick

Birdie15

The Shoveler: that would be a good idea to have someone down there. The clue has actually been out for 20 minutes.

Seriously, one white conversion van and a bus have passed Cedar and 4th since 11:30--there goes a black pickup--that's it. No Medallion mania enough to get people out in the snow for this clue

Allison - A nap sounds like a good idea. Wish I had done that.

Not just winning the lottery...but there's something almost supernatural, kind awe---some about participating in this. When else and where else can you stand in a park in the middle of the night with bond fires roaring, scoops of snow flying, and yet it's perfectly legal...not too mention it gives you the sort of power that only, say, Jim Rockford has had up until this point...It's a wonder of the world. The only freedom left.

I hate it when the new clue comes out and I still haven't made sense of the old one. Not that I'd really want to wait any longer.

Basic rule of thumb: the earlier the clues clearly point to one park the larger the park. It is way, way too early for Palace, though maybe not for Newell (when is it ever too early for Newell)?

One useful site I used last year was the USGS Terraserver (terraserver.microsoft.com I think, but you can search engine it). This site has aerial photos of most of Minnesota, and it was actually quite useful to mark the landmark clues at Conway (3M Bldg, water tank, mall pyramids and such). Not that I found the Medallion, but at least I drew some lines near where it should have been.

I'm a downtowner but a few blocks away if someone has a cell they could go down there, get the clue, call back into us and we could post it before the planet has a chance to, that should serve them right for pushing back the posting time.

How you doing H? Care to share the capitol mall thoughts over the bandwidth or not?

Yea, but then they would pull that "we reserve the right to remove any postings" yada yada yada. And probably block your IP that you can't get in here anymore.

capitol mall no real reason I guess its the same reason we were thinking by the 'rena, its all downtown or on the fringe - someplace over there. Did you get my message from earlier?

I liked Streets of San francisco, used to watch Rockford followed by that from my folks basement.

Which is probably what the handful of deletions are :). Of course, ban an IP, and I'll use one of the other 4 I have. Kind of like a game of whack-a-mole:)

There were a lot of words in that clue that could be rearranged to make another. Astute just happened to be one of the longer ones. I think if they wanted you to do that, the gist of the clue would have been geared more towards hinting at a word game.

By the way; hi mom and TV.

I really hadn't intended to stay up for the clue this early (hundreds of projectiling kids await me in the Morn, but once you log on, it is sort of addictive, even if all the clues are vague at this point. Or something like that.
