I have 5 sneaky sneaks. Out of those 5, only one is truely slick and gets away with stuff. My big old, 11 year old cat. The rest - failed sneaky school.
he is by far, the "owner" of the house....and will go to any length at all...to let anyone... especially the dog (who outweighs him by probably a hundred pounds, and stands 3-4 feet taller than him) know it.
no birds - 5 cats, 2 dogs - at one point last year I also had 2 guinea pigs, 2 lizzards, a frog (leo leaperton) and a bowl full of goldfish named after WWE stars.
the bird cage actually belonged to my great aunt - the stand is from the late 1800's and judging from the cage markings - it's from the 1920's. it just houses african violets and a blue glass birdie.
the guinea pigs were 8 years old.. so hopefully that excuses me for that one.
The lizzards were water dogs who had a think for getting out of the aquarium and crusing the house - apparently on different days - they both decided the floor heater was a good place to check out - and fell in and became shrinky dinks.
nickle goldfish aren't meant to last apparently
and there were actually 2 leo leapertons (#1 met his death when he was hanging out at the top of the aquarium and one of my sneaks decided to make him an 'horderve
although mine was a box-turtle... named after the teenage mutant ninja version...
had him for 10 years, before he died from some rare form of "turtle cancer"...
he loved spicey food... hated greens and veggies like the people at the pet-shop said he was supposed to eat... if you gave them to him, they'd sit there and rot....
I mentioned a couple days ago that we needed a cat/dog thread but I see this thread kinda became that. SO here.... here is Theo
(looks like all your kitties-maybe they're related)...
Beans took this pic - he's a really fat cat that likes to smell my breath AND he waits for us to go to bed before coming upstairs, just like a dog. Waits by the bathroom door in the morning meowing to let you know he's hungry. My favorite is how he HAS TO be in the bathroom while someones in the shower---he peaks his head in the shower but won't jump in until I get out.
looking for the winter carnival museum dude in the landmark center to transfer cardboard zephy to him, finding the midwest ww2 museum instead, seeing if you happened to be around, taking the girls skating.
its ok. thx took a picture of it melted (with plans, as i recall, to use it as his avatar  )
My kitty does the same thing, me2. As soon as I start for the stairs to go to bed, he jumps up and races me to the top like a puppy. He always wins. And he always situates himself on my side of the bed. He's a big kitty too. Still weighs almost 20 lbs even after being on a diet formula food since I got him almost five years ago. I think he's just "big boned". I think he scared Redbear when he was over.
recovering space in the 3rd garage stall. the bikes are now up in the air thanks to those wonderful bike lifts and some framing to put some 16 inch centers in the rafters.
Reclaiming my garage last Fall with the help of a huge dumpster. It's one of my favorite places now. Plan on doing lots of furniture refinishing out there come spring. I have lots of projects. Got a nice tool kit and a gift card to Home Depot for Christmas.
my garage's cleanliness is coming with the help of our little weekly trash dumpster. i don't have time to get a huge dumpster with everything that needs to be gone through.
I also got a beautiful bird of paradise flower, but I guess (thankfully) that one is not as tasty as this palm frond.

He's more than I can handle, sometimes...

I didnt quite have the flash figured out right... new camera..
the animals are always my test subjects... and also love helping finish off rolls of film
He's actually pretty afraid of the flash...
flashlights too... its really bizarre... you get a flashlight out, and he runs to find a place to hide.

oh, and j, the snowflake melted from your avatar yesterday :frown:
We have a tendency to hope the shelties win, but that Alaskan Malamute was a gorgeous dog.
:frown:
If I woulda realized it was just gonna melt so quickly I woulda broke it off and kept it in my freezer
what were you doing downtown?
its ok. thx took a picture of it melted (with plans, as i recall, to use it as his avatar  )
Heading to Sears in a bit (flashlights and a big lantern) ---and then a trip with a kid to BC!
