I hated going to the node center... That is where the officers sat and played playstation2 and x-box... I didn't want to bother them when they had such important work to do.
I had to work fast though... Know how short-tempered someone can get when they have to stop playing games to switch their generators over??? C'mon.. what was I thinking, asking them to work??? :pbpt:
I've been given some bad news. My foster son was in a snowmobile accident on Lake MilleLacs, and has broken his back. He's scheduled for surgery tomorrow afternoon. I should be there for him, so the PDG is on the back burner. He's an adult now, but we still consider him one of ours. Damn kids- when will they realise they are breakable? Huh. Probably now. :frown:
KT, I hope everything goes well for your son. Is he having surgery in the cities? I suppose they'll have to fuse some vertebrae...plates, screws, and whatnot. Back surgery has come a long way since we were young so I'm hopeful that everything will go just fine tomorrow...it sux all the same, though. My thoughts are with you and him..
I feel I need to make it clear that he's my Foster son, not a son from my own loins.heh. He's all growed up now, but has never had an easy life. Things were just starting to settle down in his insane life, and he decides to play Mario Andretti on a snowmobile- on a lake full of pressure ridges. Today I'm more frustrated than worried.
Yes, you did say he was your foster son, KT, but it all feels the same if something happens to them...whether worry or frustration, no?Anyway, I hope you can make it to the pre-dig...if everything goes OK today
we had hot dogs on the grill last night at like midnight or so...
the thing I've noticed too... is that no matter what time it is, if you have food, outside on the grill, your neighbors all of a sudden pop up from out of nowhere and go "Gee!! Something sure smells good over there!!! What are you making?!?!?"
You won't believe this but one of my many spies has come out with the 1st clue all ready and here it is.
" Treasure hunters swarming amidst globel warming make it hard to park our loot. Look for snow and ice enough to suffice to shorten you Winter pursuit."

And I was all in a polka mood too. I had my fancy duds on and was ready to dance... :frown:
I hope everything turns out ok... Best wishes to you and him
:frown:
Everyone, have a great time at the PD, sorry I can't be there, but come Sunday I will be out every night....
...I'm sure you're not...
Inks broke his back when he was 18 in a farm accident. They managed to fix him up and that was a long time ago.
We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Thank you, everyone, for your support& prayers.
Best of all luck and wishes today...and hope to see you tonight.
