My vote would be no, g. It was a mistake that got out in the early edition. Nothing more.

I understand what you're saying about a park that's hard to park in...

This is the earliest I've ever broken out the THG and Maps. Day -1 and I'm already in the dog house with my wife. Crikey.

You were flying into town for the hunt monday? Too bad sucker!

I don't think they make mistakes like this. Not with the clue. I expect a twist.

Green - I know you like to find things doubled up. (I've been re-reading past hunt boards.) This would be the first double.

Double day of noodling.

Hay, Mystical.

No, Ter. It would be the SECOND double. The first double was park noun/verb, in the first Clue.

Yup. Furshure.

Chair-O-Kee has like no parking lots, does it? Not a one. But what would be plowed there then?

Is Mappy Gooey gonna be there tonite? I need a book [again]!

You know what I think? I think this is the what it's in clue.

Packed in snow and ice enough to sufficiently cover the medallion.

Or like the "bottom" part of BC -- where the tiny parking lot is hardly ever open in the winter. Off of 61, where you can walk up through the park to Upper Afton along the creek (ice)???

2 days of clue one is going to be awful!

And on that note, I'm off of here for a bit.

I have things to get ready for this evening...

the 8th annual Pre-Dig Gig!!!

I think there might be 1 (one) lot there... a super small one?

I believe thats where the hot-dog vendor was hanging out, during the last hunt that happened there.

Makes the most sense, what with "to shorten your winter pursuit" which is finding the Damn Thing in the first place.

Green - The streets at Chair-O-Key are plowed.

The swarm is hockey right? Ice rink? Are they bringing in snow for the snowcarvings?

I think "hard to park" means not in a park. Ah, who am I kidding, I'm waiting for clue 2, 1B, or 1(prime) if another comes out tonight.

I need to shut this thing down soon too - I was *hoping* to get a nap in!!

DUH! (smacking self in forehead) If ittiz Chair-O-Key, I'll be in heaven! That would be COOLER!

'Bye, Ter. I'll see you tonite.

From my friend at the PP:

From an "informal conversation" it does not look like a new clue goes into Sunday's paper.

I wouldnt really care...

I dont mind spending 2 bucks, on the "first" clue

I mean...

as long as I get my 10 grand, anyways.

Ittiz gonna be a lllloooonnnng 24+ hours...

Oh,well. I could never read The Clue in the dark o'Patty's place enkneeweigh. Just more time to mingle and see folks.

Enkneebuddy know if Artie and Marley King gonna be there? I sure hope!

I hope they make it too!

The good news that this double day of noodling will be broken up with the Pre-Dig Gig.

And ares - when you slog this....there should be a note that this is the first time the clue was released in the early (Saturday) edition of the Pioneer Press.

The only other time it was released early was a few years ago when it went online for just a few minutes - about 4 hours before it was supposed to be there.

Very positive thinking, Miz T. Yup.

Don't you just LOVE The Hunt? There's ALWAYS something happening that makes each year so unique, so special.

I just love the little glitches.

Wicked Nick

I dont think I even saw the 1st clue, at the PDG last year...

I remember someone saying they were gonna go get it... but between then, and them coming back, I think I drank a bunch of stuff, and forgot why we were there.....
Sat, 01/21/2006 - 1:29 PM Permalink
Terry

I dislike the glitches. Makes for things seeming out of snyc. I'm too linear to enjoy glitches.

I can deal with changes, but glitches make me nutz.

HOnestly, I can't imagine there would be a new clue tonight. Both are Sunday copies of the paper - people would need to buy two different copies of the same paper to get the clue. And, home delivery subscribers would be at a disadvantage and could cry foul when it comes to turning in the clues to get the extra $2500.

But I do love the Hunt! This makes 35 years for Inks and me.

Egads! That means come March, we'll be married that long too!!!

What is it supposed to be for 35 years? The first is paper, the 15th is crystal, the 25th silver, the 50th gold...but what is 35?

I'm outtie. Gotta get ready for my myriad parties tonite. Ter, I'll get there ASAP. Dinner's at 8:00 PM, so I'll prolly sneak out about then. And then prolly about 1/2 hour to get there.

Question: Where the bejezus am I gonna find parking???????????????

For Eags: I'm off like a prom dress.
Sat, 01/21/2006 - 1:35 PM Permalink
Terry

I found it.

Traditional 35th wedding anniversary presents have a theme of Coral.

A contemporary or modern 35th anniversary present has a theme of Jade.

This Wedding Anniversary does not have any Flowers associated with it.

This Anniversary does not have any Gemstones associated with it.

Jade or coral. I'll have to do some thinking about that. Sure would help to win the 10 grand - or the powerball.

Now back to over noodling today's clue....

Green - there's a parking lot about a block down Chestnut that belongs to McGovern's. Hope there's a spot there.
