Type: Poem
With Pegasus upon a day,
Apollo, weary flying,
Through frosty hills the journey lay,
On foot the way was plying.
Poor slipshod giddy Pegasus
Was but a sorry walker;
To Vulcan then Apollo goes,
To get a frosty caulker.
Obliging Vulcan fell to work,
Threw by his coat and bonnet,
And did Sol's business in a crack;
Sol paid him with a sonnet.
Ye Vulcan's sons of Wanlockhead,
Pity my sad disaster;
My Pegasus is poorly shod,
I'll pay you like my master.
a vulcan poem by burns???
Hey what's with the wink with the no anagram remark? Are you holding back bud?
but - not ruling it out yet either.
burns was named after john and priscella burns...
but if anybody can figure out an anagram...
I'd bet on Marley and Lil
cooler kid's looking all over for snow, and there ain't any.
Letter vs. Letters.
I think first - no one has Red letter(s) day(s) it wouldn't make sense to say it that way.
Secondly - if it is just referring to one letter - perhaps it's just referring to the A.

I'm outta here and headed back to work.
Check this out
Red letter day is Jan 25 named after Robert Burns...
Burns Ave is right nere Battle Creek.
Any thoughts
I was looking at the super grid last night, and it seems rare when they give away the park before clue 6.
To me, if the red letter means anything - it's something you can see from the site.
I'm still perplexed about the Pitch a Tent.
There is something in that clue that isn't ringing true for me.
This is a stretch. I don't have my good mapping software here at work - nor do I have any books with me.
is Hard in any of the street names near one of the 'chosen' parks?
Make it hard to park our loot.
I have been looking at all the clues from a "simple" perspective and what if the only thing clue 1 is saying is - park / no park
hard to park = not in a park?
They're saying - I think - ittiz parked in a park, but it wasn't easy doing it.
Medallion Central has an interesting take on BC:
There is plenty to take from this clue and it all fits for our choice of parks from yesterday, that being Battle Creek! Here is todayÂ’s clue.
Clue # 5
If youÂ’re aerobic and hardly tree-phobic
You might make your outing pay
DonÂ’t be left in a lurch, do your research,
This could be your red-letter day
LetÂ’s start today by analyzing this one in reverse order. The red-letter that can be clearly seen from the park (within our ken) is the 3M sign at their corporate headquarters on 94.
“Don’t be left in the lurch,” if you do your research by googling this well know phrase you will find that lurch is a noun originating from lych, an old english word meaning CORPSE! This is a huge clue. They are giving us a referance point here. Do not be near the corpse which would mean not in the Indian Mounds area. On the friends of the parks web sight you will find they link Indian Mounds and Battle Creek on the same page. This is re-affirming that we need to stay on the Battle Creek side.
The first two lines of the clue is honing us in on an area of the park by the Recreational Center, located on Winthrop Street. Why the Rec Center you ask? Again if you do your research you will find a list of what activities are there. There is in fact an aerobics room in the Rec Center. Also you will find a PDF file listing the 2006 Facility Rental Prices for rooms in the center as well as outdoor facilities in the park that you may rent for your outings. (Make your outing pay)
Hardly tree-phobic could be a double meaning. Maplewood could be the hard wood they are refering to and the park is in fact split. The St. Paul side on the west side of McNight Rd. and the Maplewood side being East of McNight. Hardly tree-phobic would tell us to stay on the St. Paul side not the Maplewood side. So on a map we now have an East West boundry of the parkÂ’s area to search. stay to the East of Indian Mounds which would be East of Hwy 61, and stay to the West of McKnight which would keep us out of the Maplewood side of the park.
There you have it! A real reason to get out on a beautiful sunny day and search. Happy Hunting!

Also, I am pretty sure there is a Wild game tonight. So, again, street parking may be at a premium.
