The winners are Joe Bernard, 15; Ian Luby, 14; Kai Peterson, 15; and Kai¿s father, Scott.
The medallion was found after publication of the sixth of 12 clues.
This is the 55th year of the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt.
The winners will be introduced and receive their prizes at an afternoon news conference at the newspaper.
NICE -
heh.
I was looking all over for an ice hunk. Dang.
where's the clues????
grrr....this is killing me...
We'll kick it off on Sunday, February 12th. The clues come out daily at 6pm. On the 12th we'll have a kickoff party at Fabulous Fern's in St. Paul starting at 5pm.
The hunt will work similar to what we did last year. You can pay $10 to be a registered hunter with the money going towards the pot. If you find it, you get a $500 prize. If you are not a registered hunter and you find it, you get a $100 prize. Any prize money that is left over will get rolled over into the pot for whoever runs the next mock hunt. The winner of the mock hunt also gets the option of being the person to run the next hunt, or they can designate someone else.
Clues will be posted on my Yahoo group, though I suppose I could post them here as well if people wanted. This hunt has been a lot of fun in the past and we've gotten some pretty good participation (especially in 2002 which was a year similar to this). I believe my email and Yahoo group are both on my profile. Otherwise I'm AllisonWondrland@yahoo,com or the Yahoo Group is TheAllisonWonderland I'll post more information on how to get me the money, but the easiest way is to come to the opening party. Oh yea, also, it doesn't actually have to be $10 cash. You can also contribute prizes worth $10 or more if that's more convenient.
Will it be this Sunday at 1:00?
Water slides are fun....
Just wanted to say, Bummer that it only went 6 clues.
But in a way I'm glad now, this wasn't the hunt that I was going to come back for, cause I wouldn't have arrived until tonight!
which hopefully means next year's clues will be ultra hard.
huggies to all.
the North St Paul medallion hunt is coming up!!
Oldie, that was priceless!
and the other reasons....I'm not sure
(OT?)
where's cluemaster?? anybody talk to him yet??
I've tried calling him.....I think he's in a park diggin'
