KSTP AM should be fun to listen to today. Rosenbaum and O'Connell usually talk about the hunt, and they're followed by Soucheray at 2:00.

Evil Doer - I want to tell you that I really enjoyed your noodles. You appeared to me, to be on target and on track. You had depth and vision. A refreshing and creative take on each clue. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas as I particularly enjoyed them and sought them out.

Diggin' .....

ps. did we meet at the PDG? :sheepish:

Is there no fire ring at BC? Couldn't we use a grill?

So thats a good enough reason, why you cant miss the re-hash

You need to supply the wood. We'll all be cold, without a fire.

Thanks Diggin,

That's was nice to hear. I love the hunt and the online comraderie. This is my absolute favorite time of year and I'm sad it has to end.

I didn't attend the PDG, but hope to make it out to the RHB. Maybe we'll meet there. :frown:

Well, the writers have done quite the job. Make Green probably both happy and sad with this hunt. Happy that it was at BC, sad that it was found so soon.

They're hung up on Frey's book, A Million Tiny Pieces so far this afternoon, but I'm guessing they'll get to the hunt eventually. The past few days they've actually talked about it more than Soucheray.

But really xcited I was able to noodle the clues so well. I was rite on that thing. I wonder how close I came?

No school for St. Paul kids today - and this is what happens.

Inks and son were out there digging around where I wish I could have been.

I'm depressed.

Rehash on Sunday - 11:30am till whenever.

I don't know yet what I'll bring.

But where out there?

And pity party tonight?

I've got it on. My mother thanks you and would be proud o'me.

I've FINALLY tuned into talk-radio. She tried to get me interested in that stuff back in the 70's, and I told her rock & roll will never die.

The medallion was found about 9:35 a.m. today in the park on St. Paul's East Side. It was packed in ice and wrapped in a Pearson's Nut Goodie wrapper .

The winners are Joe Barnard, 15; Ian Luby, 14; Kai Peterson, 15; and Kai's father, Scott.

Joe and Kai, who had spent two evenings earlier in the week combing Highland Park with flashlights, decided to try the ice-covered Battle Creek this morning on their day off from school. They were joined by Ian, who decided just last night over dinner with them at Snuffy's Malt Shop with that he would join the pair.

The evidence clearly pointed to Battle Creek, the boys said. One clue including the phrase "searching hill and glen." Two parallel roads in Battle Creek are Hillsdale and Glenridge avenues. A "red-letter day" in Clue No. 5 referred to nearby 3M headquarters, Kai said. The "twixt" reference, too, pointed to 3M, which makes a "bookshelf" game by that name.

They said they were indebted to the sleuths at the online Treasure Hunt forum at www.twincities.com, to point them to the right park.

The teens, who are too young to drive, also relied on Kai's father to be their chauffeur. They first circled a lake, found nothing, then hit a nearby playground where they got distracted by playing on the slides. They finally decided to each take a portion of a steep hill used for sledding. Joe and Ian started poking around a wooded area between two hills. Kai combed the other side of the hill.

"I look down, and I see the Nut Goodie ¿ inside an ice block," Joe said. "It looked so unnatural."

After smashing the ice brick onto the ground, the wrapper fell out. Inside was the medallion wrapped by a red- and-black garter. The medallion was found after publication of the sixth of 12 clues.

I walked back to the south parking lot, via McKnight, about, oh... 10:00 AM, I guess. I was all around the hill at Dellridge (glen + hill) for hours. Saw 3M, the 'tent,' many things.

I wonder if I was rite?

I love KSTP talk radio since they got rid of Rush. :pbpt: These two guys are attorneys and have an interesting show. And Soucheray doesn't need my seal of approval. He's just too darn good!
