Thanks for the info but I'll be heading to the Twin Cities Food & Wine Experience at the convention center that day for a wine drunk...I mean tasting
ya know, if you hid a Becksie cache it might just give me the impetus to actually get out there and get addicted to geocaching...and then I'd have to check out Kitch's gps that he has for sale
So, I'm trying to drop off my clues and entry form for the 300/$500 PP/Cub Foods grocery giveaway. I tried 3 Cubs and no drop off box. It was after 10:00 each time so I thought they must be keeping the box behind the service counter or something. I ask the people on staff and none of them know anything about it since it's a service counter thing.
So I call today and the service lady says that they stopped the drawing early last week! I said that was odd since they're supposed accept entrys through tomorrow for a 2/17 drawing. She was upset about it as well since she says there were other people upset towards her because of the early stop.
I don't get how they can do this. That doesn't seem like good PR at all. Anybody else hear this BS?
Thanks ares. I left a message with the promotions manager. But I'm looking at the official entry form and wondering if it's just a verbiage issue. What do you think?
Contest runs from the day the medallion is found through 2/10/06.
So I would assume that the contest was from 1/27 to 2/10. Am I missing something?
I've always missed the deadline. That's why I'm making a point to getting them in on time this year. It looks like it didn't matter afterall. I was able to register for the $100 monthly SunCurrent/Cub grocery giveaway anyway.
I don't even know why I try. I can't stand Cub. I don't even like taking my food from my Simon's boxes on my front step.
I did just use a $20 Cub gift certificate to buy a couple of filet mignon's tho. MMMMMMMM
ya know. we stopped in at cub for some stuff that sue was looking for that they didn't have at target last sunday. spent more money for less groceries than we would have had we just gone to target. by about a third (maybe more).

That's one big reason we stick with Simons. Plus their fairly competitive with most items other than their meat. Which is high quality but spendy. I'd hate to see what that Tenderloin would have cost me at Simons. I have seen all the news specials that always show SuperTarget as being the cheapest chow including SuperWallyWorld.
Cool. We're doing that or something like it on the 24th of this month. It's going to be an off-site team building thing for the people I work with. It's sounds kinda fun.
It works out well for me, you get 8 meals but they feed six, and it's all prepared stuff, so the cooking/prep time is nil. tonight I'm having coconut curried shrimp and rice.
We have one of those close by but I'm scared to shop there for some reason. I know that they're one of the fastest growing stores in the world right now though. I had the same fear of WallyWorld, but now I'm addicted. I gotta suck it up and give 'er a try. Thanks for reminding me about Aldi.
Enjoy an early morning breakfast with other area cachers and then feel free to head out either alone or in groups for some caching!

worked for mucluck
What 3 parks do you like?
Throw in valet parking and there's no way Becksie can refuse a day of caching. :sheepish:
But I'd really LOVE to get into this
I just happen to know of a couple openings at Crosby ... but I've never been to Kaposia. seems like caches get muggled there.
I better do some work for awhile.
How's Brooke?
unless you already have too many other addictions....
sorry - it was just sitting there for so damn long - I couldn't help it :sheepish:
