Channel 11 is carrying a story about a family that I've been following on the caringbridge website. It's an incredible story - one that will surely touch your heart and cause you to thank God for your healthy kids.

Terry, how is that boy who was set on fire? I used to go to caringbridge but lost the password.

Just saw the story Terry. My best friend's 6 year old grandson died of that several years ago. It's a devastating disease.

It certainly is devastating. Can you imagine loosing two children within months of each other?

There is a link to the cargingbridge site for that family at the Kare 11 website.

OT - The caringbridge site for that other young man was taken down some time ago. The last I heard he was doing okay...but it's been a little while since I've heard anything.

He was just on the news this last week or so. There was some kind of fundraiser for him at some bar/resteraunt.

Described as a soul singer, Taylor Hicks is known for setting "soul fires" from panhandle Florida honkey-tonks to the modern day chitlin-circuit of the old South. He's entertained with high profile artists such as James Brown, Tom Petty, Jackson Browne, Drive by Truckers, and Robert Randolph. Taylor is currently collaborating with contemporary blues legend Keb Mo.

this is the gray hair'd guy on american idol.

That is what I heard on the news... but they got this info from someone (else) who is testifying for the state, noting that it is close to Matter's home... for some strange reason I don't think he will ever be going back to his hometown, not in the front seat anyway... Time will tell...

Okay, I got the Don Boxmeyer Radio interview finally converted to an mp3 (Thanks to Mr. Med Hunter getting me the tape). It's low quality audio, but it's a small enough file you sould be able to download it even using dialup (2.6 megs).

It's on my current webspace right now, so I'd appreciate it if the link wasn't spread all over the net. Maybe ares can post it on coolercrew.com? Or OTiS can post it over on coolertimes.com. I'll probably take the file off my site in a couple weeks to conserve my banwidth.

So, Here it is

shoulda had it up a week ago, I'm such a slacker lately. Poor Mr. Med probably wants to strangle me for takin so long, lol!

I can do a larger (better quality) file if anyone cares to host it (I don't think I really want to host a 20 mb file off my site).

Definately.... thanks for putting that up, man...

I heard that when it was on.... wish I would have taped it then...

Again though, thank Mr. Med for taping it, all I did was get it into digital format.
