There was another reason I would like to get access to the metrodome, a cache that I have yet to have found, but I felt like it might be too opportunistic to go that evening to get it.
Good for you. I have to stop for 6 weeks minimum per my doctors orders. I plan on starting on the 18th. A day after my birthday. But it'll still be a Saturday so it'll be tough. I'm also planning on using this as an excuse to try and lose some weight so I'm planning on going on my first diet ever. I'm scared. Any suggestions? I'm sure that by removing beer from my diet should help in itself. But I need to do something with food also since I'm sure I'll just transfer my addiction to chow.
Hopefully, I'll send that energy to some sort of exercising or something. I dunno. I just need a change anyway.
Good luck Nick. I'm surprised you didn't wait to quit until after your birthday. Good job.
Atkins has worked pretty well for us, you just have to be creative with your food or it gets boring, finally found a way to make no carb breaded chicken  the first 2 weeks is tuff but after that it's not so bad, we allow ourselves 1 cheat day a week so we don't go crazy :eyeroll:
wrong AA...man... I was talking about hockey... as in class double-A...
haha...
thanks for that laugh, man....
as per food...I dunno...
just cut down on your meal sizes... you dont need to cut actual foods out of your diet... just dont eat as much of them...
and dont eat when you're not hungry....
one of my step bro's dropped close to 40 pounds this past year or so, by doing pretty much that, and biking regularly..... he would still have his 3 meal a day quota that we've all been hearing about since kindergarten, but he would cut the portions in half, if not smaller....still wasnt startving by any-means.... so he's convinced me to do that...
heh...
shocker - I've also found in the past year that excersize isnt as bad as its been said to be..... and sometimes its actually a good stress reliever to walk/jog/run like 4 and a half miles....
usually the alchohol makes me want to do that, anyways.... it works like Snickers for me
usually, in the middle of the night, for whatever reason.
I only do that if i'm at a bar and taps are cheap...
I cant remember the last time I actually had beer in the house....
usually its either captain/coke, or jameson/coke, or some kind of flavored smirnoff w/ sprite.... and thats mainly, only on the weekends, and/or Monday nights.... anyhow....
Nick, that cache is on the second level (I think) next to a huge photo of Fran Tarkenton. It's velcro, under a condiment stand. The security guy knows it's there, and he'll coach ya. HEH
I actually thought you were starting AA. Mostly based on your Pepsi comment. I was confused. Heh
Thanks for all the advice. I have a real positive outlook on this. I need a change somewhere. Unfortunately I can't change my alcohol because I can't have any alcohol. I was thinking on starting up smoking pot again to channel my buzz crave but we all know what that'll lead to. :eyeroll:
Geocaching does sound like the perfect thing to get back into again. I was thinking on doing more disc golf but that requires more time than a couple of caches.
I looked at Atkins and South Beach and they scare the hell out of me. I likes me food and I haven't done this before. I just need to cut my 8 meals a day down to three.
Years ago my father lost over 60 pounds by just cutting out bread and potatoes. My mother didn't have to cook special meals or anything. If we had burgers he just ate the burger, no bun.
Also, if you chew your food longer, your stomach knows it's full before your brain does and you don't have to eat as much to feel full. You know how when you really like what you're having and you eat so much that a little later you're like, why did I eat all that?
It doesnt affect my day-to-day living at all... about the only thing it affects is how much extra spending money I have for other crap that I probably dont need anyways i.e.: comic books, baseball cards, concert/movie tickets,....
If it ever starts cutting into anything else, other than my wallet...which will never happen anyhow.... thats when I'll find a class/group....
all I've gotta do, is look at my dad, and how he used to be and I think I'll be okay......
I did see that and it did curb my visits to McD's. I haven't supersized anything since. Mostly because they don't ask anymore but also because the word just grosses me out.
Although I do think that guy in the movie had a whimpy stomach.

Keep em coming people. There's way more than 25 people in the CC.
I love being 28. Which is why I chose to be that age for a few years in a row!!
We went and payed homage to your circle last night, by drinkin some "pepsi".

Drink more water, and juice, too....
I gotta laugh...
ummm...beyond that...If I could just stop the 11pm sammy's I'd be good.
I only do that if i'm at a bar and taps are cheap...

she makes food good enough that it'll ruin a diet, faster than Dick Cheney can ruin a hunting trip.
Bwahhhhh!

Wow, I was second. The first log is the owner under a different name.

And drink lots of water. I hear that helps too.
That's cool info. I like the water thing too.
Does anyone know how to get a stomach worm? I lost tons of weight real fast when they thought I had one years ago. :eyeroll: :coolfrown:
But come on OT! Give these up?
<----------- Personal Joe
Can't do it.
If it ever starts cutting into anything else, other than my wallet...which will never happen anyhow.... thats when I'll find a class/group....
all I've gotta do, is look at my dad, and how he used to be and I think I'll be okay......
Here's another idea. Smaller plate! Makes it look like you have more food on the plate.
I like that one....
like running is any fun...
heading down-town again for another day full of watching hockey...
later!
Have fun!
Although I do think that guy in the movie had a whimpy stomach.
