Or read the book "Fast Food Nation" you'll never crave fast food again. At least that's what my sister tells me. Good thing I haven't read it..... As far as fast food, I tend to stick to subway, or if I do go to the "others" ,just order a kid's meal. You still get to feed your cravings with only half the calories.
Personally I tend to like the ideas in the South Beach Diet. (it's nothing like Atkin's)
Basically eat lean proteins, fruits and vegetables, complex carbs such as whole grains.
Stay away from refined carbs and processed foods, such as sugar, flour, corn syrup, and stay away from saturated fats.
I hate how South Beach got lumped in with the no carb craze. It's not really. It's learning the difference between good fats/bad fats and good carbs/bad carbs.
I lost close to 50 pounds on Weight Watchers. I actually went to the meetings, but I know of others who do it online and have lost 30-40 pounds. Basically it is all about choosing better things and maintaining portions.
The Atkins, and low carb, South Beach, all of these diets I was told from my doctor do work for the short term. But in the long run the success rate is not as high.
Because Weight Watchers is trying to teach you a lifesyle change it tends to stick better then the trendy diets. I found it super easy. As most have the people who were on it.
Do what it tells you and the weight just falls off!!
damn, right.... way to go, to anyone thats able to do it... its hard as hell, sometimes...
hola, from a secret location in downtown saint paul.
the first two games were a score-fest... blaine whooped lakeville 7-2, and in the 2nd game, Eagan was representing hardcore down here, but still lost to Cretin-Durham Hall, 5-2....
gametime in less than 20 mins.... so I gotta jet...
Hill-Murray (rooting for them, because my dad went there, a SUPER long time ago...and... well...mostly, just because they're pretty good, anyhow) vs Minnetonka... and the late game is Grand Rapids vs Roseau
me2 - the thing at the dome on Sunday - they've been saying doors at 6-6:30, and its supposed to actually start around 7:00....
if you like breaded chicken try smashing up barbecue pork rinds like bread crumbs, dip the chicken breast in egg and then in the pork rinds and fry it up in oil, yummy!
Yes atkins is working well for me, but food choice is boring sometimes. I've also heard great things about weight watchers. Sounds like its working great for you!
At the entrance: "excuse me sir, you can't bring that flask in here" ..."uuuuuhhhh,errrr, uummm, but its diet 7up" "yeah right buddy, get it outa here"
I lost about 50 lbs once by mixing the diets. I jogged or walked along the bluffs or Lilydale, ate those Lean Cuisines for lunch and dinner was meats (I LOVE a juicy medium-rare raw mignon).
now ofcourse Im back up about 20 of those lbs over the last couple of years but I started it again last week.
Maybe we should start our own Cooler Crew group- try to get on one of those reality tv shows as a group to lose weight.

I know the doc said the Atkins is very helpfull if you are trying to cut specific things for specific health needs.
That is why there are a million different ways to lose weight. The main thing is finding the way that works best for you individually.

We make low carb pizza using low carb wraps as a crust. Works pretty good as long as you don't put on too much sauce.
Zombie sounds good!
Happy belated b-day by the way.
