ugh... 2 months? I don't know if I can handle that. I almost prefer sounding like minnie mouse (my usual - high pitched voice)

the worst part is, I can't holler.

I woke up one day last week with no voice....

dont have a cold or cough or anything... just lost my voice... wasnt because of drinking either... because I hadnt had anythin in a couple weeks at that point....

which sucks.... because if my sister calls to bother me, and it takes me 5 times to actually say "hello"... she'll sit there and listen to me whisper, and say "...O?...", "llo?", and finally, "ello?!?!?!".... to which she'll respond: "Haha... you sound sick... I'll call you back in 20 minutes", and hangs up...

whenever I gotta watch one of my cousins kids, and they dont wanna go to bed, I tell them: "If you go to bed now, you'll be able to get up in the morning and do stuff", its stupid reasoning, but it works every time....

Being on a diet on St. Patricks Day (i.e. No beer) = Irritates

Being the DD on St. Patricks Day (i.e. no DUI, and getting to screw with all the drunks all night) = kinda fun.

also - no green puke out of this girl... hmmm.

- my sister coming home from her vacation in Florida, and having her Chrones problem flare up, and needing to go to the hospital, right after leaving the airport......

went and saw her there last night.... we were originally supposed to go to my moms for a late st. patricks day dinner, with one of my step bro's.... but ended up going to see my sis first.....

she's been in the hospital what seems like a million f'n times for this crohns crap..... and this is the first time seeing her there, has literally scared the shit outta me....

why cant they f'n find out how to treat this stuff, and find out what causes reactions like it does?!?!?!

Finding out last night that my boy while helping out at the air show for charity got his foot run over by some a$$ driving a mercedes and was taken to the ER in an ambulance.

He's ok - but the guy is getting hit and run charges filed cause he got out of the car, and got in an argument with my boyfriend and then when he saw the cops coming, took off.

He apparently had little kids in the car with him too... what a great example to set.

Sorry to hear about your sister Nick. That is a horrible disease. I hope she feels better soon.

perhaps you need to get her a book of poop jokes.

I don't know that poop joke book would be appropriate. But maybe it's just my family. My uncle died from complications of it, and my cousin has Crohns herself. My aunt each year, for my grandpa's birthday, donates money to the Crohn's & Colitis foundation, so hopefully that will help with finding a cure.

When my grandmother had her double mastectomy one of the first things my family did was go out and get her stripper tassles... laughter is often the best medicine. It fools our brain into not being scared.

yah, they know who it was - the guy who happened to be working with him is a lawyer and already said he'd take the case, just cause the guy was such a jerk.

It's only bruised so that is good, but he won't be playing soccer for a few weeks.

she's been in and out of the hospital a bunch of times, since she found out she had it, a couple of years ago, and each time it seems worse....

then she'll be back at home, and work for a while, and things will be fine and then BAM, gets hit with another flare-up.... or will eat something that causes a reaction, thus making it harder and harder for her to eat almost anything at all, these days....

she had her latest deal, this time on the plane, on her way home from florida.... she said that by the time the plane went to make its landing, she was unable to even put her seat to its upright position, because she was in so much pain........

her boyfriend was there waiting for her, to give her a ride, otherwise, MSP Airport, was gonna force her to stay there, and call an ambulance....

the first couple of times, that she was in and out of the hospital, they had no idea, what she had, and kept her there for a couple of weeks at a time, until conditions cleared up - and then would send her home...

when they have you eathing nothing but chicken broth, and ice chips, i'm pretty sure, that anything you have will clear up, and go away...... not so sure that starvation is a good enough long-term cure for anything....

funny you mention the poop-joke-book, L4V...

when I saw her, she handed me a bag, that she bought a b-day fit for me in FL.... a hat from RonJon Surf Shop, and a pair of underwear, that say "I love to fart" on the ass part.....

she started laughing so hard, that a nurse had to come and make sure she was okay....

I love your new underwear! I need to get a pair of them for my boyfriend - especially after this weekend and him eating everything Cajun.

It sucks when Docs don't know whats wrong with you - I had a wierd burning feeling on the back of my legs like sunburn (with nothing visably there) for nearly two years. Somedays it was so bad, I couldn't wear pants against my skin, and sitting on a cold toilet seat was like sitting on an ice throne ... several shock tests (nerve stimulus) and spinal taps, MRI's and Stress / Blood you name it tests later - they never figured out what it was.

However - it seemed that finalizing my divorce cured it, it hasn't been back since.

Perhaps I'm just allergice to marraige.

yeah, I think it is. I also have a mild case of Commitment Phobia, to which the only good remedy I have found is drinking tequilla or southern comfort shots with beer chasers and falling down.
Tue, 03/21/2006 - 9:52 AM Permalink
Wicked Nick

ack!

<shudders>

I just got goosebumps....

tequilla, and SoCo....

that right there, makes a good party....

I've said before, that tequilla and myself, arent very good friends....

the last time I had SoCo, was back in 2002, at OzzFest - campming.... a buncha under-age drinkers next to us had some 100 proof SoCo, that they were pouring into this beaker that held 10 shots perfectly....

they would pour enough for a shot, and then do it, and pass it off going "eww... thats nasty"

at one point a guy handed it to me, and says "say stop, when theres enough in there"....

I didnt actually hear him say that.... so when I hear everybody start counting at 4 or 5, and stop at 10, and start cheering wildly... I was kinda wondering what the hell I'd just gotten myself into....

15+ people, chanting at you to "chug!!", can be considered peer pressure, right?

that sucker was downed, in a matter of seconds, and I spit probably half a shot worth, into their fire - which made a huge mushroom cloud...

I then told them that their alchohol was weak, and walked away......

I still hear about that, once in a while, if I run into people that were there...... "Hey! you were that guy that drank all those shots, and did that bad ass fire spit thing!! you f'n rocked!"

Speakin of allergies....

another irritation...

just took Bucky - my dog - to the vet, and got an $84 bill, to find out that he suddenly.... like in the past 2 months, developed allergies...

to Azreal...

my cat

<sigh>

SO.....I have a dog, who carries around a huge pink, squeeky ball, is afraid of flashlights, and is allergic to my cat.....

great...

He couldnt wait until AFTER someplace decides to hire me, to develop a weird illness, thats going to cost me a crap-load of money???

ugh....

It sounds so stupid to have to yell at the cat - "Azreal!! Leave Bucky alone.... he's allergic to you!"

let me add to that -

My sister was supposed to get out of the hospital earlier today.....

I guess on the way out the door, or while waiting for a ride, or something, she had another crohn's flare-up....

and also...

I did 4 interviews this AM, and had 3 of them tell me that I dont have enough experience, even though the resume that was sitting right in front of them, proved that I do.

I'm glad I dont have any allergies...

it sounds like a lot, just for him, and he's only a dog...

but man...

why does he have to be allergic to the cat?!?

My roommates son was on his way home from work - some idiot with road rage 'break checked' him - and he hit the center divide totalling his grandmas new car he was driving.

He's ok (the good part) but now Grandma doesn't have a car, and he is living back at my house for the next month M-F so he can get to work.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh I may go crazy. :frown:
