What irritates you?

Submitted by ares on

somthing irking you? pissing you off? rant about it here.

Clue Master

That doesn't make sense to me anyway. If the city gets less $ from their meters, they'll just get it from us from somewhere else instead. Pumping someone's meter doesn't really 'stick it to the city' like they think.

more rain.

This is the second wettest march we've had in the history.

This may have changed since 1959 but I dont think so:

St Pauls greatest rainfall was in July 1892, with 11.87 inches of rain.

7.8 inches within a 24 hour period on July 26-27.

Lake Como, then three times as large as now, rose nearly 14 inches in one day.

I came across the rain info today while researching floods and the islands along the Miss River through St Paul: Ross, Harriet, Coal, and Raspberry: Navy

That is a lot of rain! When it flooded here 2 days before new years we got 8.2" in 24 hours I believe was the recorded number at Guerneville where the most damage was.

Its amazing how fast the creeks and lakes can rise. I haven't driven up to lake sonoma to see the dam lately, but I've heard it's over once again.

A husband of a candidate who's moving here turned down his gig today. I found his wife a job - and got a hefty fee from it - but he was asked to wear a flag on his uniform and said he couldn't do it because of religious reasons. So now I have to find watchtower boy a job in order to keep my original fee.

that suxs bear. I worked with one several years ago. I had no problem with her being a JW. What I had a problem with, was before she "found God" she lived a very wild life, and apparently HATED me for having the ability to still do so.

I was 19, she was 29... some of the fights we got into... eesh.

Nationalism - Jehovah's Witnesses believe that "they owed allegiance to no person, flags, or nation; they owed allegiance only to Jehovah," therefore, they do not vote, salute the flag, or participate in military duty. Men have been jailed for refusing to be drafted. Children have been expelled for not pledging allegiance to the flag.

huh - who would have thought? thanks Bear, I learned something today...

so do they pay taxes? Cause if I was them, and I had to pay taxes, I sure would be voting. I'd want to know where my tax money was going.

I worked with a married male JW, who after I became friendly with all of a sudden gave me an "indecent proposal". I just about died. Uh hello? Just cuz I'm nice to you and have a conversation once in awhile doesn't mean I want your bod. The nervy part of it was when after I said NO NO NO, he proceded to question my religous beliefs---- basically he was trying to argue that if I'm not that religous and I don't go to church then why should I have a problem with sleeping with a married man? -- "Uhh cuz it's not in my moral code and you're gross.... and a crusty old hypocrite." I was going to report him but he left me alone after that.

I was always puzzled about that fact that if Jehovah Witnesses believe that only 120,000 (not sure on the exact #) are going to heaven, then why do they recruit more people to convert? Hello.... more competition!!!

tc always asks them that when she deals with them. "so if only 120,000 of you are going to get into heaven, what makes you think you're not 120,001." shuts 'em up every time.

Have any of you seen the movie Orgasmo? All this JW talk reminds me of that.

Most People regardless of their religious belief fail to surprise me in how the reason stuff.

My uncle (the grape baron) is very much against alcohol, the consumption of alcohol and tells me I am going to HELL for producing alcohol.

However, he has NO problem with farming the grapes that are sold (by me) to the wineries that make the alcohol that sends people into damnnation and sells the alcohol to other people who drink it and have a place in hell as well..

Her own dog attacked her last night - She now has a cast on one arm and stitches and cuts on the other. Stupid Dog.
