When my old BF lived up in the country we captured several in the neighbor who he disliked garage. They were good and mad in there when the unsuspecting neighbor came home and opened his garage.
we usually do a huge camping trip up there in may - that I missed last year for numerous reasons - where a whole buncha people go with, and is the yearly excuse to buy as much of the strongest booze we can find....(Everclear, or anything thats 100 proof or better - basically if a drop of it, starts a fire, you're good)...
a handful of super-drunk people, running around in the woods, trying to either: A. flee the turkeys or B. get as close to the turkeys as they can, all at the same time, makes for an interesting experience.....
enjoy: trivia night at the irish pub. Going with friends to team up against another group of friends in hops of a'dethrown'from their 3 week winning streak.
My youngest did that when 911 was new. They hyped it on TV all the time. Call 911 for this, call 911 for that. So she called. The 911 operator called back and asked if we had an emergency. I was like, what?? She told me there had been a call from our address and asked if I had any young children. I guess they were getting a lot of calls from children when it first started.
oh, my oldest did that to me when I was sleeping once,he was only like 3 at the time and I don't think he knew what he was doing. I think they all do it at some point if there is a phone within reach and a parent not paying attention :sillygrin:
Sadly 911 gets calls all the time from the elderly trying to look up a phone number. Apparently they get upset when the dispatcher says she can't help them. :eyeroll:
When I was in H.S. I dated a guy who had epilepsy. He fell in the shower and smacked his head. His mom was home, and she accidently called 411 instead of 911...
It wasn't super funny at the time... but when we were all in the ER at the hospital, she tells us about it.. and like 5 minutes later his dad starts giggling - it became infectious.

We're staying 5 rooms down the hall, in our hotel, from Edge & Lita..... this is the 4th time in this same hotel, for a wrestling event in Chicago, that we've been just rooms away from Edge.... its crazy.... I think he must wait to find out if we're gonna be here, first before he books his place.... :wink: :goofy:
I cannot begin to explain how f'n geeked out I am right now...... but so far I have kept my cool... havent even asked for any pictures or autographs.... just had light conversations, with a few people that we've run into, and let them feel as regular as they can, in this type of setting....

word is, that next years WM might be in Detroit.... if thats true, I may do 2 WM's in a row!!... that that will be my first time in D-Town....
We're leaving to hit-up some more bars, to see who else we can run into....

I still cant catch my breath - cant believe I was actually there... in all actuality, it seemed like just an average Pay-Per-View, and not the gigantic beast, that Wrestlemania normally is... but that being said, it wasstill wrestlemania...
I almost got arrested at one point... I had my digital camera out, and was trying to get some pictures, and a security guard nearby started hasseling me, saying that they would prefer it if I didnt use a camera with a screen on it.... you dont even wanna know how much I paid for those two seats, well over a year ago... so i'm takin pics of anything I can get my hands on from there...
had a huge argument with the guy about that, and before you know it, an entire section of people, are standing up, expecting a fight, and start chanting "take a picture".... so I did.... of the security guard.... who then said "sit back down now, and I'll let you keep that thing, and not throw you out" and then started to walk away, as other fans in the area hurled insults at him...
Chicago has some hardcore wrestling fans.... during the John Cena vs Triple H title match- HOLY CRAP.... there was a "F**K YOU CENA" chant that started up and lasted nearly the entire match.... the crowd, including myself was so pro-Triple H it was crazy.... seemed like big fight - boxing type atmosphere...
Triple H, has had for a long time, and continues to have the best entrances of anyone. period
Im curious to see how that chant came out, if at all on TV.... for those wondering, Triple H lost.... I thought there was gonna be a riot someplace, afterwards.... I dont know how they keep that belt on John Cena....
Rey Mysterio won the "other" world title, in the 3 way dance with Kurt Angle, and Randy Orton.... basically in my opinon... and hey.... this is my post.... he won it, because of a charity cause... he was dedicating the match to Eddie Guerrero... and I seriously doubt whethere he would have been in any type of world title situation, if that had never happened.....
that being said.... his entrance was spectacular....the band - P.O.D. from his hometown, out in Cali played a song - live, on top of the entrance ramp area....
speaking of the ramp.... it raised up, to allow people entering in cars.... JBL always comes out in a Limo.... and during the main event of HHH vs Cena, Cena had a 40's style mafia car, complete with mobsters hanging out the windows come out, before he made his entrance.....
we assumed that it was his last attempt at trying to win over a crowd that he knew wanted him to die badly, that night.....
as I said before, most of the matches sucked.... I was kinda dissapointed with a lot of the outcomes and winners.....
the playboy pillow-fight between Candice Michelle, and Torrie Wilson was a let-down....
the money-in-the-bank ladder match, was spectacular..... high spot after high spot, people jumping off of ladders, and everything they could find..... WOW... and RVD actually won?!?!? NICE!!!... hopefully he gets a world title this time around... he hasnt had much of a chance, since being there...
Mick Foley vs Edge hardcore rules match... was completely off the hook.... bloody brawl til the end, involving everything a hardcore match should involve and more.... thumbtacks, flaming tables, barbed-wire.... EVERYTHING..... this match was IMO, the point when the PPV started to get good....
after we left there last night, we hit up everyplace around here that would could find, and met tons of people.... for a while we were walkin around with Ken Kennedy (used to go by Anderson, when he was local), and Shawn Daivari, who actually remembered me from local shows, and brought us to a VIP deal with them....
after getting back to the hotel at nearly 5:30 in the morning, I went to get ice, and decided that I couldnt sleep anyhow, so went outside, to take a walk..... the streets around here were still booming with other wrestling fans at that time of the morning.....
on my way back up, maybe 20 mins later, I rode the elevator with none other than Amy Dumas a.k.a. - Lita, herself........
didnt even realize it was her at first..... but then after a closer glance, it was...
