Madrones are native to northern California and don't grow elsewhere that I know of.They look like they're related to manzanitas with rough and smooth bark alternating.
My temp graphic design job ends on Friday, and I just got a permanent graphic design job with a sign/silk screen t-shirt place in Albert Lea that starts on Monday. It's a lot better than the year book place and I get to do more art work plus a $2.50 raise :goofy:
Thanks for the congrats and suit ideas everyone. I'm gonna look into each of them. I'm excited about the move up. It may take a bit to be able to get people up top though. It's a pretty secure building on the higher floors.
On the subject of suits, Nate's in Minneapolis is great - I have 3 from there and they're really durable and look great. (Work bear is a little spiffy.)
I kept putting quarters in it and they kept falling to the return slot ...grrrrrr I WANT MY PEPSI!!!!!! so I bang on the machine a couple of thumps and it starts blinking at me and then 'ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping ......
dime after dime after dime came out!!!!!
I usually place dimes in the machine so I basically got a few bucks back in dimes, and a couple of nickels!!!! WOW! It was just like playing a slot machine
FREE POP
Getting out fishing in my boat today. Earliest (in the year) I've ever been out. Caught a mid sized bass. Threw him back. Need crappie minnows next time.
That last picture just reminded me of that shipwrecked screen saver guy from years ago. Anyone remember him? I loved watching him for hours on end.
The sounds of Spring in my backyard. When we first moved in we thought it was noisy. But after realizing what we had compared to most - we love it. Horny frogs and horny birds make all the difference.
I think I even heard a horny neighbor or two :pbpt:
They gotta have some big boilers in that place.
I take my exam in a couple weeks.
Yea, This place has some suits for old fat guys.
But if you want something cheap for work try Turnstyle Consignments in Sunray shopping center. (or so says my wife, she loves that place)
way to go cm!
a year or so ago i picked up a couple of full suits at sears for 100 bucks total.
ps
when can you get us up on the roof for some pictures?
Here is a full photo of a madrone

you could always claim we're the window-washing crew. which might look odd at 11pm at night, but still.
at any rate, make sure your job is good and secure before trying any shenanigans like getting us up top.

Hope my poker game tonight goes just as well.
All in due time KC, all in due time buddy. I need to get a feel for the place and what kind of alarms they have and such.
this late at night I read it as "asparagus and lettuce"
still got some clouds up there but I have seen blue.
I'm going to go and do a happy dance.
wait - no, that might be misconstrued as a rain dance.
hmmm
