The wind and warmth continued over the weekend. Shagawa and Burntside lakes near Ely went out over the weekend, and were nearly clear of ice as this story was posted online on Monday morning.
While ice out dates could be as much as two weeks ahead of schedule this year, they wonÂ’t be setting any records. The earliest recorded ice out on Vermilion is April 10, which occurred in 1945. ShagawaÂ’s earliest reported ice out was April 14, 1990, but that included just 37 years of data, as opposed to 86 years for Vermilion.
My sister and her guy just stopped by here... they bought 2 Chiuaua's (i'm sure I spelled that wrong)... or "Taco Bell dogs"....
Pedro, and Poncho....
only 4 weeks old.... and WAY smaller than my cat...probably wont even get as big as him... dang! those things are funny to watch!
Poncho is scared of everything, but Pedro was following my dog, Bucky (who towers over him, by what seems like 10 feet) around like crazy, trying to jump on him, and hang from his tail....
wow... its' been a while since ive been drunk..i f.orgot what it was like almost
you ever have one of those kind of days or whaetver where you wonder if eeverything youve ever done has been a mistake?
im not saying evre y thing has been... im just saying?
life sucks... a lot it hands out lemons and all this crappy fruit that you cant do anything with, except make juice...when all you want is a stupid apple, or maybe some grapes.
just give me an apple or some grapes
grapes are good... you can put them in your pop bottle, when you mixed upsome alcolic beverages and coke in there....and then wehen your done drinkig the liqiud , y ou have some STRONG grapes to eat on.
yeah
crying sucks too...
If you gotta do it, do it in the shower, that way people dont know anything... your eyes are all red cause you got some shampoo in them.... your face is wet cause YO! you WASHED IT! YOU WERE IN THE SHOWER!
aint you hear me singin in there, man?? I did the alphabet and everything! even dedicated it to your moms!
you do that kinda stuff, every day and you can try to be as WICKED as me
im not really wicked though.... atleast thats what i was told a while back by a familiar "hater"
we just got our family (and a couple friends) signed up for the mothers day 5k breast cancer walk at the MOA for the umpteenth year (seriously... it seems like we've been doing this since forever ago)
is anybody else doing that this year?
Its for a good cause
heres the site incase anybody else has their own "team":
I'll be at Cannon Beach Oregon during the 3-Day. Ironically, one of the gals I'll be with is a breast cancer survivor. And I'm not sure I'd be able to walk the 60 miles, much less get $2,200 in donations.
Thats kinda why I like the mothers day 5k one better....its like walking around a lake, or something vs walking 60 miles...
and with our "team" donations arent really required, for everybody to participate....but generally everybody tries to do $20 anyways, and then whatever donations they recieve on-top of that
But eh...
I figure as long as i'm able to do it, I might as well... I thought the donations for the 3-Day would be the hard part... but it was actually pretty easy.... my days, working at the telemarketing/fun raising place, taught me, that generally people will donate, if its for a good cause...
this ones as good as any
my mom had breast cancer 10 years ago now, one of my aunts just had it just over a year ago
both of my grandmothers had it when they were still living, and in their younger years - one of them had it twice....
Who's your dealer? I bet I know somebody cheaper
Damn though.... I was at the store earlier, getting some eggs and milk, and butter and other cooking supplies... and at the checkout, the cashier guy said "happy 420!" after handing me my change, and complimented me on my "badass pot-leaf" on my shirt.
It's actually a maple-leaf.... i'm wearing a Canada shirt :eyeroll:
I havent celebrated it since, nor actually heard somebody wish somebody else a happy 4/20 since maybe 10th or 11th grade....
I'm hiding in the basement, until it stops, and the sun comes back out...or the moon....or somebody comes to forcefully make me leave.... or somethin like that.
Earth is about to pass through the dusty tail of Comet Thatcher, and this will cause the annual Lyrid meteor shower. Forecasters expect the shower to peak on April 22nd, producing about 10 meteors per hour--modest, but pretty. The best time to look is during the hours before sunrise on Saturday morning. Go to a dark site away from city lights, if possible.
The Moon will also encounter the comet's tail on April 22nd, which raises an interesting possibility: Amateur astronomers may be able to spot flashes of light on the Moon when comet debris hits the lunar surface and explodes. All that's required is a backyard telescope and lots of patience.

..now I can encourage my party revalers to sit out on the deck and watch:
a) girls in bikini's in the hot tub
b) a soft, warm fire in the chiminera
c) stars dancing in the sky
d) all of the above
The good news is that we are in dark sky territory up there so if it's not cloudy, we'll be hanging out watching the sky.
Hey Timbo!
Thanks for the 420 wishes today. You guys rock!
Why don't you check it out? Or we cut off your Johnson!
Why don't you check it out? Or we cut off your Johnson!
Looking forward to getting you downtown so we can hang.
peace
