Gotta feelin next weeks season finale aint gonna be too happy
and That 70's Show's LAST episode is next week too :frown:
Tonight they aired - the making of - the last one.....
I'm gonna miss that one...
poop....
TV sucks... its supposed to be a good escape from crap, atleast for a little while...
sad stuff is always happening, even on happy shows, and every show I watch, its basically because they hold memories of stuff that has happened in real life for me too....
Thanks for the link J... looks like there is some hope yet eh? Man, looking at some of those buildings it is just a wonder that they can even be saved... one of them has been caved in for at least a couple of years. Sure hope they can save them... would love to look at some of those homes!
Ha! Thanks mrmikey. I tried to save him..I really did! I threw all my votes to him when I saw what was happening at dialidol.com. I usually vote for Taylor. But Katharine should have gone that night.
Did you hear that Fuel has invited him to join their band as lead singer?
oh he was so definitely surprised by being booted. sad, really, since he's the one with the most talent up there. taylor is gonna have a really big career in vegas one day.
no I didn't hear that! Thanks, I'll let Penny know. I told her it was her fault because she didn't vote the last time. Even Katherine was shocked. Every one was. He had to say it twice before anybody beleived it. He'll make more money in fuel than being the american idol anyways. Good for him.
Hi coolers! Seems I haven't been very good at finding time to get here and keep in touch...geez, I've been busy! Going to Texas Wednesday and will be back the 23rd. After that, I hope things will settle down a bit. Any outings planned?? It would be great to get together!
and E.R. ended on a sucky note, too! :frown:

"You talkin bout my mom?"
If he got the singer job with Fuel, makes me wonder if it wasn't a set up to have him lose.
I seem to recall a couple o' times when they cut to people in the audience - seeing the words "Chris' band" pop up, on the screen...
If you send this to just one person, it should make it all the way
around the world by Mother's Day.
This is for the mothers who have sat up all night with sick toddlers in
their arms, wiping up barf laced with Oscar Mayer wieners and cherry
Kool-Aid saying, "It's alright honey, Mommy's here." Who have sat in
rocking chairs for hours on end soothing crying babies who can't be
comforted.
This is for all the mothers who show up at work with spit-up in their
hair and milk stains on their blouses and diapers in their purse. For
all the mothers who run carpools and make cookies and sew Halloween
costumes. And all the mothers who DON'T.
This is for the mothers who gave birth to babies they'll never see. And
the mothers who took those babies and gave them homes. And for the
mothers who lost their baby in that precious 9 months that they will
never get to watch grow on earth but one day will be reunited with in
Heaven!
This is for the mothers whose priceless art collections are hanging on
their refrigerator doors. And for all the mothers who froze their buns
on metal bleachers at football or soccer games instead of watching from
the warmth of their cars, so that when their kids asked, "Did you see
me, Mom?" they could say, "Of course, I wouldn't have missed it for the
world," and mean it.
This is for all the mothers who yell at their kids in the grocery store
and swat them in despair when they stomp their feet and scream for ice
cream before dinner. And for all the mothers who count to ten instead,
but realize how child abuse happens.
This is for all the mothers who sat down with their children and
explained all about making babies. And for all the (grand) mothers who
wanted to, but just couldn't find the words.
This is for all the mothers who go hungry, so their children can eat.
For all the mothers who read "Goodnight, Moon" twice a night for a year.
And then read it again. "Just one more time."
This is for all the mothers who taught their children to tie their
shoelaces before they started school. And for all the mothers who opted
for Velcro instead.
This is for all the mothers who teach their sons to cook and their
daughters to sink a jump shot.
This is for every mother whose head turns automatically when a little
voice calls "Mom?" in a crowd, even though they know their own offspring
are at home -- or even away at college.
This is for all the mothers who sent their kids to school with stomach
aches assuring them they'd be just FINE once they got there, only to get
calls from the school nurse an hour later asking them to please pick
them up. Right away.
This is for mothers whose children have gone astray, who can't find the
words to reach them.
This is for all the step-mothers who raised another woman's child or
children, and gave their time, attention, and love... sometimes totally
unappreciated!
For all the mothers who bite their lips until they bleed when their
14-year-olds dye their hair green.
For all the mothers of the victims of recent school shootings, and the
mothers of those who did the shooting.
For the mothers of the survivors, and the mothers who sat in front of
their TVs in horror, hugging their child who just came home from school,
safely.
This is for all the mothers who taught their children to be peaceful,
and now pray they come home safely from a war.
What makes a good Mother anyway? Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips?
The ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and sew a button on a shirt,
all at the same time? Or is it in her heart? Is it the ache you feel
when you watch your son or daughter disappear down the street, walking
to school alone for the very first time? The jolt that takes you from
sleep to dread, from bed to crib at 2 AM. to put your hand on the back
of a sleeping baby? The panic, years later, that comes again at 2 A.M.
when you just want to hear their key in the door and know they are safe
again in your home? Or the need to flee from wherever you are and hug
your child when you hear news of a fire, a car accident, a child dying?
The emotions of motherhood are universal and so our thoughts are for
young mothers stumbling through diaper changes and sleep deprivation...
and mature mothers learning to let go... for working mothers and
stay-at-home mothers...single mothers and married mothers... mothers
with money, mothers without... this is for you all, for all of us...
hang in there... in the end we can only do the best we can. tell them
every day that we love them.... and pray! please pass along to all the
Moms in your life. "Home is what catches you when you fall - and we all
fall." Please pass this to a wonderful mother you know... I JUST DID!!!=============
Famous Mothers
1) The youngest mother whose history is authenticated is Lina Medina, who
delivered a 6½-pound boy by Cesarean section in Lima, Peru in 1939, at an
age of 5 years and 7 months. The child was raised as her brother and only
discovered that Lina was his mother when he was 10.
2) On April 9, 2003, Satyabhama Mahapatra, a 65-year-old retired
schoolteacher in India, became the world's oldest mother when she gave
birth to a baby boy. Satyabhama and her husband had been married 50 years,
but this is their first child. The baby was conceived through artificial
insemination using eggs from the woman's 26-year-old niece, Veenarani
Mahapatra, and the sperm of Veenarani's husband.
3) Eric Clapton was born to an unwed mother and to shield him from the
shame, Eric grew up believing that his grandparents were his parents and
his mother was his sister.
4) Jayne Bleackley is the mother who holds the record for the shortest
interval between two children born in separate confinements. She gave birth
to Joseph Robert on September 3, 1999, and Annie Jessica Joyce on March 30,
2000. The babies were born 208 days apart.
5) Elizabeth Ann Buttle is the mother who holds the record for the longest
interval between the birth of two children. She gave birth to Belinda on
May 19,1956 and Joseph on November 20, 1997. The babies were born 41 years
185 days apart. The mother was 60 years old when her son Joseph was born.
6) The highest officially recorded number of children born to one mother is
69, to the first wife of Feodor Vassilyev (1707-1782) of Shuya, Russia.
Between 1725 and 1765, in a total of 27 confinements, she gave birth to 16
pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets, and four sets of quadruplets. 67 of
them survived infancy.
7) The modern world record for giving birth is held by Leontina Albina from
San Antonio, Chile. Leontina claims to be the mother of 64 children, of
which only 55 of them are documented. She is listed in the 1999 Guinness
World Records but dropped from later editions.
:ooh: Katherine Hepburn's father was a surgeon and her mother was a dedicated
suffragette and early crusader for birth control.
9) Kim Basinger's mother had been a champion swimmer who performed water
ballets in several Esther Williams movies in the 1940s.
10) Elvis Presley, was a mama's boy. He slept in the same bed with his
mother, Gladys, until he reached puberty. Up until Elvis entered high
school, she walked him back and forth to school every day and made him take
along his own silverware so that he wouldn't catch germs from the other
kids. Gladys forbade young Elvis from going swimming or doing anything that
might put him in danger. The two of them also conversed in a strange baby
talk that only they could understand.
Between 1725 and 1765, in a total of 27 confinements, she gave birth to 16
pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets, and four sets of quadruplets. 67 of
them survived infancy.
WOW!!!
Oops! Elvis' Mamma Joe!
suffragette and early crusader for birth control.
Add to that, that Howard Hughes was a dumbass for losing her like he did.
