that was an odd bit at the end. Thanks for letting me know about it, was interesting to see afterall.
I kinda gotta wonder if they'll do many more of them, if even a 4th. Given what went on with this one, it just seems to be losing momentum. Kinda like the matrix movies. First one was great, 2nd one was okay, 3rd one was so so. Sequels never quite match what the 1st ones do, mainly because the reason the 1st one was popular was because it was different, then hollywood in their vast wisdom ties to make a sequel to match what the 1st movie was. After a couple, the idea that made it unique has been far too used.
Lol sheesh I sound like a critic. Go see the movie, it was good, just nevermind my ranting.
I seriously hope they do atleast a couple more....
If they do it right, they could keep these things going for a long time....
It'd be nice to see them bring Gambit around into the mix, and a 4th one, if done is where it would should, definately happen....
I'd post my thoughts on what happened with Rogue, and where I think that could be headed to, but I think it still might be a little too early to do that on here, for those who havent seen it yet....but my theory makes alotta sense....
I gotta feeling that if they continue on, "the cure" is going to become what The Legacy Virus is, in the books... kinda like a form of AIDS, for the mutants...
It was nice to see that giant Sentinal thing in the very beginning.... I'm not too sure alotta other people caught that....
That, and the fact that Stan Lee shows up for a couple of seconds at one point in the movie, yet again (he has a tendancy to do that, in these movies)
I'm kind of a dork, when it comes to these comic flicks.... especially the X-Men....
That would be cool... pretty much all of them have their own stuff going on, anyways...
I've also heard talk about throwing Spider Man up in the mix, since he actually showed up in a few of the comics...
If you watch the deleted scenes on X-Men 2, they have one where Spider Man was in it....but it was pretty crappy, from what I remember...
also being talked about is a deal with a crossover with Fantastic Four people... but who knows...
supposedly, after this Superman Returns deal pumps out like 3 or 4 movies, and Batman has a chance to do the same, to re-energize itself, theres going to be a Superman vs Batman movie..... that should be good, when they get around to it.... it'd be a good way to get to some more DC Comics characters on the big screen....
according to Wizard magazine, they already plan on re-making The Flash, anyways....
on a side note... I cant f'n wait for the eventual G.I. Joe movie, thats in the works....
thats all I was into, back in the day...
not the huge plasic dudes either... I'm talkin the smaller, cooler Joes from the 80's-90's that have recently been re-invented....
Nope. Not even the credit yet. Thanks for the reminder. Although I did need that thing again this past weekend. I'm always looking for a place to mount my camera in the woods. :eyeroll:
Something really spooky happened to us on Saturday night. We were staying at some family members cabin with a bunch of other family so my husband and I decided it would be more comfortable for us to tent it since there was limited room in the cabin and my parents camper. We were near Dairyland WI which is about 20 minutes north of Danbury. (Kitch country)
I was having a hard time falling asleep since it was still a little warm and every hour or so I would hear an animal going through the garbage someone left out. (IDIOT :eyeroll: ) So I'm tossing and turning and generally keeping my husband awake when at 3:00am I heard the loudest spookiest WOLF howl followed by 5 or 6 more joining in the howlfest. :asleep:   :worried: I not kidding they were probably less than 200 yards away. The dog jumped up with her ears erect and did a little muffled "woof" My husband actually woke up which is a miracle for him cuz he has slept through tornado sirens. me>"Do you hear that? him>"yes" me>"oh my god.... do you want to go in the camper?" him> "No, go to sleep" me> "yeah right".
So I lay back down and tried to remember the speech I gave ny husband since he's a city boy, about how yes there are bears and other wild life up here, but that they are more afraid of you than you are of them.
Then 5-10 minutes later I could hear something moving outside. Then the dog jumps up with her fur standing on end and starts to growl. :worried: So then I start to obsess whether the dog would help scare the wolves away or attract them since they are both canines. Eventually the sounds stopped and me an the dog made a run for the camper while my city boy husband stayed in the tent. :eyeroll:
Needless to say I got very little sleep that night and had a tee time for 6:30am. :asleep:
Now I know some of you will say that they were probably coyotes. No they were not. I've heard coyotes plenty of times since they're around my parents place. This was the most classic wolf call I've ever heard.... I've watched Animal Planet people...
Not sure exactly where that area is, but yeah... I'd believe it... we've got family friends that have a cabin near Spooner, WI, and there have been wolf reportings around there too....
once you've heard a coyote, and a wolf, you definately know the difference....
We've heard coyotes, where we camp all the time, near the big lake/monticello area.... its really freaky, in the middle of the night....
Also - my mom lives out in Eagan, on the northern edge of Lebanon Hills park, and they had a problem with Coyotes out there last summer....
damn though... yeah... they were probably attracted by the scent of your dog....
There are lots of wolves in that area. Watch out because they will kill your dog if they run into it. We also go up there. At the end of the Moose Rd (By MN border) there are DNR signs that warn of wolves in the area. Sounds like we are up in the same area. The place we stay at is on moose RD just past the Swedish hwy.
Expect major delays in downtown St. Paul on Interstate Hwy. 94 for the next five weekends. Lanes will close as crews replace signs, restripe the pavement and fix potholes.
This weekend, eastbound lanes will be restricted to a single lane of traffic from Mounds Blvd. to Marion Avenue from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Roseville, Minn.—As reconstruction of Highway 36 begins next spring, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will close the highway for up to five months through the city of North St. Paul to reduce construction costs, improve safety for motorists and workers, to build a better roadway and reduce long-term traffic congestion in the corridor. The highway will close from approximately mid-April to mid-September and then will reopen to a single lane of traffic in each direction until November of 2007.
Benefits of the full closure include a reduction in costs, a shorter duration of traffic impacts, improved construction quality and increased safety.
Highway 36 will be rebuilt between Highway 120 (Century Avenue) in North St. Paul and White Bear Avenue in Maplewood. Improvements include a grade-separated access at McKnight Road and grade separated at Margaret Street with no access to the highway in North St. Paul, Minnesota. Work also includes new entrance and exit ramps, closure of existing uncontrolled accesses, construction of frontage roads, a new pedestrian bridge crossing near Margaret Street and realignment and safety improvements to the Gateway State Trail and associated trail connections.
Reconstruction of Highway 36 will be completed in the fall of 2008.
Are you guys the family that has the big RV sitting next to shed/bunkhouse thing? Kinda by the old guy with the free range cows?
Jacks last name is Duval. He has the 40 acres right on the corner of Swedish and Moose Rd. It goes south from Moose to where the snowmobile trail ends. We are almost neighbors! Small world!
Yes that's them. Larry and Karen Knutson- they're my bro-in-law's parents. Larry has all sorts of siblings, cousins, aunts & uncles that have land up there.
The free range cows are kinda funny, my sister said they scared the hell out of her one night cuz they were scratching their asses against the shed.
My sister and her husband had their wedding reception at that bar near Cozy Corner.
So I decided to try the vending machines out on 5th floor. Found some habanero chips. Usually they're not all that hot, so I figured I'd try em out. Got through half a bag of em and my mouth is on fire (just a vending machine bag mind you, not much at all).
I guess next time I run across something that says "Death Rain" on the bag, I'll be a little more careful.
Oakdale 20, had the premier we went to last night, on their giant Imax screen....
X-Men in Imax? sweet
hopefully if anybody else goes, they get the same preview we did for "Snakes On Planes".... lmfao... that one's got "blockbuster" written all over it.
