I like the idea that I was using last year for the smaller hunts.... just hitting all the parks guerilla style, in one day, and picking out stuff about the park, to remember it incase it was used in clues....
lets not forget about Lumberjack days... thats comin up, next month too
Damn... thats two of them in July alone... Rosemount, and Stillwater... thats just from memory, anyhow.
Someone found the Sherburne County medallion about half hour after I left today and a half hour before my brother in law got there. :frown: Oh well at least we were at the right park.
Anybody else wanna try and have a go at noodling the Treasure Hunters clues each Sunday? I'll create a separate thread if we have enough interest. We can watch the first episode and see how easy/hard the clues are.
I know I'm shooting myself in the foot telling you all this, but the Manitou Days medallion hunt starts today. Here's the # for the clues, released at 10am everyday (prize is 250 bucks).
I'm thinking the clue on Monday will be the one you mention in the paper. The sign at Pro says the first clue will be available on the 19th.
I was at my daughters in Zumbrota today with my family for Covered Wagon Days. My daughter who lives in Cottage Grove mentioned that their hunt was going on and I just came in here to let you know that, but looks like CM beat me to it.
Congratulations Kitch!!! I just got back from dropping my car off at Marie Ave. Service to have the A/C fixed and didn't even think to walk across the street to check the clues. So I'm carless for the day and should be able to get some stuff done around here.
mostly I'm bummed all these hunts are occuring at the same time. Last year they were spread out, so one would run, I wouldn't find it, be a lil bummed but knew I'd be right out for another hunt. This year I expect I'll just be bummed, then go back to planning for next year.
Oh and again talking about taking time off to hunt, but never actually taking the time off. Really should know better, medallions always get found when I'm at work.
but I'm sure they will have a hunt...
How the hell did we space out on this one??

Speaking of. Is anyone gonna put their heads together and try and solve the clues from the Treasure Hunters show?
I'm not big on online hunts anymore, it's basically pitting my skills against the world. Too depressing.
Nice find on the hunt Nick. I'm still saving my energy for my local area hunts. Maybe I'll luck out this year..
Maybe it will be in the same park as the mouse we found:)

Greetings to all during this White Bear ball
So many ways to celebrate your town
We offer one cool way, and it can actually pay,
If you just follow these clues and look around.
The rules are few, nothing new to know
As you explore our city
Stay on public land, you understand
And keep all parks looking pretty.
Thanks OT!
I hope your ready for a battle from Kitch & I.
How'd we miss this?

Unravel please this working muse
And state your rightful claim
For those are prank does not amuse
For there's no chance for the fame
The lumberjack shouts his alert
As the tree begins to fall
If no one sees it hit the dirt
Did he have to make the call?
The actor climbs upon the stage
So begins his rant
Will take it without a hunt of rage
If he looks like Cary Grant
nothing special...it just says outside..

....grrr...all of a sudden slammed...didn't last year seam spead out??
I was at my daughters in Zumbrota today with my family for Covered Wagon Days. My daughter who lives in Cottage Grove mentioned that their hunt was going on and I just came in here to let you know that, but looks like CM beat me to it.
