Why is it - that we all think we have such terrible neighbors...
I'm here to tell you - I AM "that" neighbor..
well, I'm the one whose dogs will kill your cats, who doesn't mow the lawn (3ft and counting) who's paint is peeling - has 2 yes 2 broken cars in the driveway - oh and has 15 people over to the house for a dinner party and takes up every parking spot in the court.
however - I suppose I could say the same thing about my neighbors -they all have marachi bands until 1 am and their parties have like 200 people...
Its home to some good beer, some of the greatest wrestlers, hockey, and some hot chicks too... home to some really good "not so legal stuff", also :goofy:
This year we are celebrating our 20th year in business and beer takes center stage! On September 30th, Noon-10pm the brewery will move its headquarters to Harriet Island to celebrate our anniversary with Cake, Soul Asylum, The Suburbs, Richard Thompson, Tapes n Tapes, The Alarmists, Big George Jackson, Minnesota Pipes & Drums.
Tickets will go on sale August 7th at the brewery and through Ticketworks.com.

so basically.... if you get there early, you dont have to pay or try to sneak in...
I think I'll be down there Friday for Big Head Todd & The Monsters, then again on Saturday for Van Zant, and Nugent
Kansas is a toss up for Sunday... ive seen them at the taste a couple of times and they dont thrill me live that much.... but who knows... not like I have a job, or much of a life, or anything else going on, these days....
I'm in for at least one day this weekend. No Jo Dee this weekend but I'm still down, bab-ee. Especially if the leader of the luscious blonde brigade will be there.
Great!! I just mentioned to my husband about ribfest... before I realized that Kansas was playing. Not that I don't enjoy them, it's just that an hour of 8 minute long rock symphonies gets a little ... um tiring. Guess my Sunday is shot. :eyeroll:
The only problem with that idea is that they are probably small islands that only sit a few feet above sea level. In 10-20 years it'll be underwater because of global warming.
I printed out some admission tickets to Ribfest on the KQ website. I want to go tomorrow. For Head East, then later for Nugent. Anyone else gonna brave the heat???
been in the process the last few nights of helping a friend move outta his apartment.... we'll have a van/truck tonight/tomorrow afternoon, so whenever thats done, Harriet Island, and tons of hot weather awaits!
he can do nothing, but suck, and I'll actually have a job.

there is a big fence around harriet island right now. I thought it was for some construction work- maybe we have to pay to get into ribfest?
