CLUE #5

Opposites attract and that's a fact

Even if your mood's cloudy and foul

This simple truth might help you extract

the prize being sought by all

Previous Clues

1. To cure Vikings depression try a new obsession

By taking part in our hunt through the snow

But if you hope it's a profitable profession

To a park in St. Paul you must go

Don't be a rapscallion and seek the medallion

In places of the improper sort

You're certain to cause a rebellion

If you go where golfers cavort

2. Set your own pace and it could make you an ace

If your grasp of these clues is astute

So get yourself out and into the chase

And you just might win all the loot

3. A tower or two should come into view

As you're making your careful inspection.

But this hint will only be of help to you

If you look in King Boreas' direction.

4.Some places to gain relief from the rain

Will serve to help you as you're looking

Read this well and you just might obtain

A clue that will really get you cooking

The Artist For…

just an idea: could opposites attract have something to do with a male/female activity or something in that respect?

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:14 AM Permalink
CaCoMe

Cloudy and foul. Sounds like its hidden in a glob of lutefisk.

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:14 AM Permalink
Mac-Grove Man

NP is on Fairview and Pierce Butler

As far as what do I think...I'm feeling rather bi-polar...hey here it is...in my pocket...woo-hoo!

Diggin' Queen

which park was on 94 that eveyone was looking at early last year. I can't remember the name. But Farnsworth Magnet school shared a property line with it.????????????????

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:15 AM Permalink
Terry

Well I think I'm just stumped enough to not go trudging into the parks tonight.

I'll have to sleep on this one. It just might be referring to what it's in.

Opposite poles of a magnet?

North and South?

Sunny and sweet?

Extract makes me think of having teeth pulled! OUCH!!!

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:15 AM Permalink
SueBee

What about it meaning the opposite of cloudy and foul?

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:15 AM Permalink
SueBee

I find clues that mention what it's hidden in worthless. Be it known that any object I chance upon that isn't snow will recieve a frenzied, yet thorough investigation.

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:18 AM Permalink
Terry

As in boys and girls? Men and women? That could be.

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:20 AM Permalink
Terry

Or a foul line on a tennis court?

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:21 AM Permalink
vikesfan18

was also thinking about baseball and foul balls. maybe its between a baseball and soccer field or baseball and softball. something like that.

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:21 AM Permalink
CaCoMe

that would make sense terry with the reference to an ace in slue #2

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:22 AM Permalink

Foul=Fair???

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:22 AM Permalink
tim_the_hunter

We need to think of other terms for being in a bad mood....

It says "if your MOOD is cloudy and foul"!!!!

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:22 AM Permalink
CaCoMe

slue = clue . . . sorry darn typos

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:22 AM Permalink

May tie into clue 4. We may seek relief from the rain in a public bathroom, only to discover it's cloudy and foul.

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:22 AM Permalink
SueBee

what about this mood thing tho?

Thu, 01/27/2000 - 12:23 AM Permalink

I like the tennis thing - Terry. Especially with the "ace" reference earlier.
