its still way too vague now although i do like goldenboy's theory. we still have to wait another day. it's way too long, but i still don't know for sure
StepDogg is right. The thrill of the actual dig and the physical demands are what I'm yearning for...maybe even more fun than actually finding it. I'm ready to bust my butt out there. I don't care if I'm near it or not.
You need to be in the far southern end of Linwood Park bordering Pleasant Ave (opposite of foul mood) - along the bluff, looking towards the "cloudy" NSP smokestack towers or towards the towers in DWTN. Line up with a Tennis Court ("ace") and teh picnic shelters and start diggin.
Unlike others - I am ready, willing, and able to be FOOLED AGAIN. Hell - that;s teh fun of this thing isn't it?! Linwood - Tonight - IT IS DEFINITELY LINWOOD.
OK, Is it just me or is tis clue writer droppin some major hits of acid??? How the hell could one be so creative, or make so liitle of sense? Whichever, He/She is starting to piss me off.
STepDogg... i hear ya but it says 'even if' you moods cloudy and foul... a.k.a. you will be 'attracted' to the baseball field EVEN IF YOURE IN A BAD MOOD... given that it's sunny and fair
I dont think its too much analyzing... once it conjures up Baseball the rest fits... and i dont think it goes into exact location of the med, i just think its referring us to Midway Stadium or a park with a baseball diamond...
Linwood like Linseed - which is used in printing ink (& other things), Linseed oil is "extracted" and used to print on paper to "read this well". Ummm... Nevermind... bad theory.
Linwood may have picnic areas, but are they sheltered ones? Where is the relief from the rain?
t
Goldenboy are you on your way to Linwood?
its still way too vague now although i do like goldenboy's theory. we still have to wait another day. it's way too long
foul....Fair..Fairview=Newell
Linwood has two park buildings and a picnic shelter

Hey Newell fans according to the guide the radio tower you see belongs to 2-way communications.
You know - tower or 2
No-No-No. I'm staying put. It's never found this early especially in the dark. I will do a drive by of Linwood in the am - that's for sure!
On the battle creek subject.
There are a couple of streets named after birds, falcon and cardinal = foul
what guide I dont have a guide i want one....
does anyone know of a water purifying station or lab on or near the river or a park?
Duff -- a foul is a chicken, isn't it?
what happened to PIEs theory onn where it is?? Said he/she would tell us in 10 minutes!!!
He left
St. Paul Parks - A treasure hunters guide. Get them at hungry mind (or whatever its called) and a few other places. www.treasurehunt.8m.com
Yes there is one by Pigseye I believe, or by the St. Paul airport

Schlett -- thatta boy!!! that's what it's all about! I'm ready do freeze my arse off...dig for 10 hours if I have to!!
OVERANLAYZING IT!!!!!!!
THIS IS IT!!!!
OPPOSITES ATTRACT.... so take opposite of cloudy===> sunny and the opposite of foul===> fair...
total baseball reference... cloudy days are no good for baseball... sunny is good... foul balls are bad... fair balls are good
simple as that, the clue even says so... and by extracting the opposites... well ya know...
I'll bow wow to that.

You set on Linwood Golden??
Who's with me! C'MON!
I'm with you GB- I think I'm going back up there
Maybe it's in an alcohol container....opposites attract -- beer and liquor
and a hangover puts you in a foul, cloudy mood!!
Schlett knows what i'm talkin' about!!
Unlike others - I am ready, willing, and able to be FOOLED AGAIN. Hell - that;s teh fun of this thing isn't it?! Linwood - Tonight - IT IS DEFINITELY LINWOOD.
Hey Golden...any idea of what the name Linwood is from or possible means? Gotta start some serious noodling here

not to mention is it not a 'fact' that sunny weather is ideal for baseball which 'attracts' fans???
I'm working on it -
Baseball that attracts fans....Midway stadium is damn close to a little park on Pierce Butler
Cosmo -- It says you will extract the PRIZE, not extract the opposites...
And it says even if your MOOD is cloudy is foul, not the day.
Thanks Golden

Regalman-- here's the kicker -- the clues are so damn EASY once you see the explinations!!!
STepDogg... i hear ya but it says 'even if' you moods cloudy and foul... a.k.a. you will be 'attracted' to the baseball field EVEN IF YOURE IN A BAD MOOD... given that it's sunny and fair
last year especially....vague clues til we were all spread out over st paul...then the explanations...at least to me....were a bit of a stretch to fit
Cosmo -- I'm not saying your idea isn't good, cause it is -- all i'm saying is that alone is way too much analyzing for 1 clue.
George, That's what I hate about the clues, the explanations even suck Lately.
Using a house address is pretty bad if you ask me
Cosmo, you're half right! Opposite of foul is fair. Opposite of cloudy is not sunny, but fair! The fair is the clue!
I dont think its too much analyzing... once it conjures up Baseball the rest fits... and i dont think it goes into exact location of the med, i just think its referring us to Midway Stadium or a park with a baseball diamond...
yeah i agree...
George - Here's a S _ T _ R _ E _ T _ C _ H.

IT IS LINWOOD THOUGH - Tonight at least it is.
