look for me in the audience at the fair on Kare11 between 10-11 today
Marks talking plants
fyi: I over bought on presale fair tickets so if anyone needs tickets at $7 let me know.
and looks like a good amount of us Cooler are gonna go to the fair Friday, Sept 1st evening--- if you don't know about it yet than give me a call to join us. It's sounding like a beer gardens night
I will be raising a (wine) glass to ya'll on the 1st - as I will be @ the California State Fair that day - first off in the day to go taste all the best of class wines
and then later that night - going to see Tesla!
already planning on being there this coming monday, and then again either wednesday or thursday....(whichever one is chosen, we're seeing Body Worlds on the other one)
Me 2, it's like they just forget about Cooler's crew, Lord Slug & his crew, and the bio-genetic fighters in the 2nd movie and all other movie characters.
the 30 or so people that we managed to get to come dropped to about 20....
but the campground was pretty packed already, when we got there
So after setting up camp, we got our drink on with neighbors... and a couple of us managed to wrangle about 150-200 people around a makeshift stage where I did a speech, and declared Nick-A-Palooza officially underway....
every word of said speech was made up on the spot, and the entire thing lasted maybe about 10 minutes, and was followed by lots of cheering, and clapping, and other things of the sort, that follow giant, awesome speeches...
from that point on, everybody there....even people we didnt know, were talking about Nick-A-Palooza, and "who's Nick?".... when they found out it was me, I was treated like a god... or even higher, maybe....
for a while, whenever something got out of hand someplace in the campground, Security was relying on me to ease the tension...
I like having that much power :goofy:
all of this made tubing on the rivler even more fun.... because then people at other campgrounds heard about the festivities, and partied with us.....
I got kinda scraped up here and there by rocks or trees or whatever, as is customary for apple rivler trips...
Got a little sun-burnt the 2nd day, because somebody stole our sun-tan lotion... but thats okay....It'll be a nice tan....
also lost a pair of shoes during all the mayhem (its okay, they were my crappy tubing shoes), thus keeping my streak of losing an item of clothing every time I've been to the rivler, intact....
one streak that ended though - fortunately - was the one where it rains the 2nd day of camping during events in Somerset...
talking with one of the head security guys, we found out that the people who own Float-Rite sold off like 40 acres of land in their "over-flow" campground - Sunrise Park, the park where we camped 7 years in a row for X-Fest... 5 years in a row for Ozzfest... and numerous other shows - so a new highway could be put in....
that kinda makes me sad/angry....
anybody who's ever camped at that particular campground will probably tell you that - with the exception of the bathroom/shower facilities - that its the best/most fun campground in the town, to camp at.
on a side note - I even lost my voice...
this only happens when I do lots of hardcore partying... and usually only happens in Somerset...
but over-all, Nick-A-Palooza 2006, the very first in a long, long line of them went off pretty well....perhaps even better than I had even hoped for.
I've never before had people say the words "YOU are THE nick?!?!?" (technically, that HAS happened...but it was for bad reasons) and then bow down to me and give me all of their beer.... and having people thank me for giving them a reason to party (this includes people who I didnt even know, that were already camping there)
Its a feeling I cant describe.... being treated like royalty... simply because I made a rockin speech, and handed out a couple of t-shirts...
Last Nite I took the girls out to the Science Museum of Minnesota to take them to the PUTTPUTT..being a member I had a coupon for $1 games in the month of August and wanted to try it out. Was fun to have a nite with just me and those 2 goofing off. For a total of 2 bucks...heck I parked on the street and didn't even need to pay for the ramp.
but....BODY WORLDS held over until December 3...don't forget to GO!!!!its unreal...I'm even tempted to go again... but ...Omnitheater and 3D Cinema closed September 11-14 if you wanna do that.
So I am sitting at work this morning, being its only my second week there they have my doing some basic things to get used to the place. Any way one of the senior artists is complaining about having to do the 2007 Harley Davidson rings. So jokingly I ask him if he would like to trade so guess what I did all day drew the 2007 Harleys talk about fun.
went to the fair yesterday, with my mom and her husband..... ran into Green and Santa Dave... that was pretty cool, and unexpected.
went to body worlds today.... if you havent gone, definately do so... theres a reason they extended this thing... it rocks.
the movie in the omni theatre, was different from what I thought it was gonna be.... but it was really cool...
If you go, I highly reccomend the walking tour "headphone" deal thing.... it adds alot more to everything, and helps you notice stuff that you wouldnt notice otherwise....
really cool...
Its always long periods of time between my visits to the science museum....
the floating 3D planet thing they have down on the bottom floor, by the dinousaur stuff is sweet.... I could sit there for hours and watch that thing.
the huge fire watch tower thing right next to the DNR Building...
I like to stay away from that place... Smokey the Bear scares me... he tried to eat me during the parade, when I was a little kid...
speaking of the fair - dang man... how cool are those Budweiser horses?!?! they got em all in that tent, with their names.... and their leader? the fearless donkey, from the commercials? he's got my name!?!?

The play by play and photos were great - what an adventure. The zoo looked fun
I heard this this morning on the radio and thought how I would love to tell my friends this ....
so from me2 to all of you .....
I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow
And each road leads you where you want to go
And if youÂ’re faced with the choice and you have to choose
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you
And if one door opens to another door closed
I hope you keep on walkin’ ‘til you find the window
If itÂ’s cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile
But more than anything, more than anything
My wish for you
Is that this life becomes all that you want it to
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small
You never need to carry more than you can hold
And while youÂ’re out there gettinÂ’ where youÂ’re gettinÂ’ to
I hope you know somebody loves you
And wants the same things too
Yeah, this is my wish
I hope you never look back but you never forget
All the ones who love you
And the place you left
I hope you always forgive and you never regret
And you help somebody every chance you get
Oh, you find GodÂ’s grace in every mistake
And always give more than you take
But more than anything, yeah more than anything
This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big
Bundles of joy all around!!!

Did I mention I subscribe to Live Feeds? ~ducks~
you are now the 2nd person I know that has live feeds...
In case you were wondering, Boogie is the only one awake. He's been exercising in the BY (LF for back yard). Riveting stuff!
Can someone explain to me why the whole world loves Janelle??? I dont get it!!
That's cool about the live feed OT. I watched them when it was free back for BB2
Is brian working at the DNR building at the fair??
Can you now go up in the dnr tower again or is it closed again????
I bet this place is dead this weekend :frown:
Going out again tomorrow evening. This time I won't eat before I go.
Chill Town rocks... they're like a heel wrestling stable...

Wha...!? Why? Who...? What is this about?
Gee, I forget...
