hey dickhead,

did ya hear the news? I'm going to Africa on the 23rd of Sept. I took a new job as an operations manager in Equatorial Guinea, Africa. I will be there for 33 days and then come back and be off for 28 days and do it again. Its for a company called Sumitomo Tubular. We supply drilling pipe to the oil rigs in that area for Hess, Exxon and a bunch of others. I will be in charge of 6 africans that speak spanish (spain took over the country in early days, but are now independent again). I will be on an island called Bioko, its a small volcanic island 25 miles offshore that was formed by Mt. Camaroon on the mainland. It a really awesome looking island with beaches and jungle and waterfalls. Do a search on yahoo and pull up the photo presentation in one of the first hits you get.

I will work 8-5 over there, I have a chef, maid, and laundry gets done too. I live in a nice house on the side of a hill and its gaurded by a native and his pet monkey. The monkey I hear is really cool and likes to hang out and jump around alot.

I just got 7 shots in my arm yesterday for all kinds of crazy diseases so I can pretty much go anywhere now and not get sick...and i cant give blood for several years now cuz mine is severly superhuman.

I did a search on the place, for pictures and stuff.... it looks really cool

a friend of mine did 3 years in the peace core in Tanzania - even in the peace core she had enough $$ from her check to have a maid, a chef, and a 3 bedroom house to herself.

opportunites of a life time.

Several of my friends are in South Africa this week as part of a vacay.

I looked at a site and if he doesnt photograph any women with fish on their heads, eat any salads at restaraunts or drink the water he should be ok (I saw this on the first site that came up on a yahoo search)

Haha.... yeah..

I dont know why he'd want a picture of a chick with a fish on her head.... but then again, if he takes pictures of any women - with or without a fish on their head, his wife would probably kill him.

I found the site months ago but I havn't had a good reason to use it. I find it semi childlike and I havn't been in a child like mood in quite some time. I also had a little time last night to goof off. I havn't gotten any of that lately either.

boo hiss. my carmel creations are already $4.70 with all the extra crap I have them add.... they are leaches I tell you.

I guess that is why I've started to drink black coffee again.
Sat, 09/23/2006 - 10:19 AM Permalink
KC0GRN

I drink black coffee cause I don't want all that foo foo crap in it.
Sat, 09/23/2006 - 1:38 PM Permalink
Love4Vino

I try to drink it black (for calorie reasons) when it's too strong, I put soy milk in it.

The 'carmel delights' I don't think of as coffee... i think of them as decadence
Sat, 09/23/2006 - 1:44 PM Permalink
KC0GRN

I'm a bit more odd about it. I drink it black cause when you put other stuff in it it just gets too thick/syrupy. Basically I like coffee at about the same consistency as water.

More odd is I liks hot chocolate, russian tea, and those sorta hot beverages...
Sat, 09/23/2006 - 1:49 PM Permalink
Love4Vino

get the whole odd consistancy person. I have a problem with the texture of certain foods.

i'm a huge fan of carbonation. I'll drink just about any soda, not for the sugar persay but I love carbonation. oddly - I HATE champagne.
Sat, 09/23/2006 - 1:52 PM Permalink
Clue Master

As a contrast I would bet that a non-carbonated flavorful beer would go over huge with those of us who like to slam but are only hindered by that fricken carbonation. Flat beer rocks. Some day someone will figure out this million dollar idea. You watch. Even if it's short lived, it'll at least be a nice novelty beer for most. Guinness Draught is close anyway.

which I happened to have plenty of tonight I might add :goofy:

I drink my coffee black and pretty strong - 3-4 heeping scoops to a pot. I do enjoy the mochas at Caribou BUT I don't like taking the lid off the cup to see all the oils floating on top :frown:

I also like trying beers - I always seem to come home to Summit and Guiness though
