Saint Paul, 1, Minn was about?
1??
Looks like that address was before zip codes.. possibly just an old mail routing number?
Interesting to note about the photo tinting. from what I had read of it, it seemed originally only to be done on the dead ones. (shudder) which made me a little worried.
Now I have to figure out who is in the photo... and why it says Saint Paul on the back of it, when all the other photos (and there are tons and tons) were done in local studios.
14 east 7th street is basically just east of the corner of Wabasha and 7th St. - NOW, theoretically, 7th street back in the 1940's no longer exists today. There is a 7th Place now, but it's only a block long. Todays 7th St is yesteryears 8th St. So that being said.... the studio was located roughly just past where you would enter into Daytons/Marshall Field/Macys interior entrance which is connected by the corrodore to the Trade Center. You would have to continue eastward past the Macy's Entrance and walk through a wall and then turn south (left) basically to get there today.
Does that sound like what OT said?

I was reading on the action squad site today their tour of the Abbott hospital, and in the Misc. page he gives kudos to the Mn Historical society for his research.
you should totally hook up with them, I could see you being an action squad gal.
Please don't mind my childish/uneducated way of writing in this post- I'm tired
