Happy hunting!

Clue #1

We are starting anew, alack and alas,
Seek out the treasure surrounded by grass
Search the city built on seven hills
Combing the area should cause you no ills

To be first you must start with the last
Putting it all together could be a blast
To decipher the code pay attention to signs
Hacking the order to our deceptive lines

Clue #2

It was bright and shiny when it was brand new
Now only a few years later it has a green hue
And when you are standing at the treasure's home
Even more prominent in the distant is another dome

Clue #3

If you're searching for a place to park
Best opt for the side that's rather dark
To shed a little light on the hiding place
Remember its vintage located on its base

Clue #4

Bank on the fact that it got a new name
A directional dilemma with historic fame
A compass will confuse if traveling by land
Or head North by water to see it firsthand

Clue #5

Here is a tip, so don't blow your stack
Seeing it's top will keep you on track
A landmark in the skyline will be erased
Known is the fact that it will be replaced

Clue #6

If you are searching for a big double you
It's metal members form one out of view
An elevated crest resides between it and thee
Eclipsing the river below by some degree

Clue #7

Right hand green, left hand red, lead to our med
In our game, you win if green and you lose if red
Now quit pretending, it could take you until dawn
Especially if when you get back the city is gone

Clue #8

A pair of firsts win nothing but gold
Ponder a move that would really be bold
Causing no fear with this little twist
Suppose you find a floor that doesn't exist

Clue #9

Maybe by now, you know it's all a numb3rs game
Mastering the letters bring forth a false name
Map Guy has not covered our most coveted ground
A number in thousands to the far East can be found

Clue #10

The honeymoon is over; it's a common phrase
Maybe you'll catch on, one of these days
Smack, it will hit you right in the mouth
Just go to a bus drivers wife in the south

Didn't talk to anyone. I thought the first one looked like Becksie but I didn't guess her because I didn't think she was there last night. Posen was just an educated guess.

"Posen was just an educated guess."

That may be the first time "Posen" and "educated" were used together in the same sentence! :ooh:

meh, park still fits, I think.

Oh and I don't mind missing out on stuff, I miss out on tons all the time, so that's just part of life. Sometimes I find it's best to miss out on some things though, as long as I don't miss out on the really important things.

"Even more prominent in the distant is another dome"

should this be distant, or distance?
Fri, 11/10/2006 - 5:48 PM Permalink
mucluck

I had the same question...
Fri, 11/10/2006 - 6:36 PM Permalink
barefootguy

bright and shiny -> green = copper

a dome in the distance = copper dome restaurant?

just a thought...
Fri, 11/10/2006 - 10:02 PM Permalink
me2

glad yah made it bfg

I'm still liking Cathedral and Capitol
Sat, 11/11/2006 - 7:24 AM Permalink
me2

also liking the metro-dome
Sat, 11/11/2006 - 8:38 AM Permalink
me2

bright and shiny like a penny - pennies are made of copper - copper dome - copper cathedral

the restaurant is a good idea but there isn't a park anywhere near there... unless you'd like to believe in the como theory and they placed it in Edgcumbe (6 blocks away)

I've got my park picked out and I'm sticking with it... until the next clue ofcourse.

What are the rules for this hunt as far as where it can be hidden?
Sat, 11/11/2006 - 11:51 AM Permalink
Wicked Nick

A "dome" that people often forget about, is the conservatory at Como....

dunno though.

I still like Mounds for whatever reason.
