I've been getting the same crap from some other company who say that I owe them like 150 bucks, and I've never heard of them.
they leave messages on our voice-mail and crap, and when I called the guy back to find out whats up, and ask a couple of questions, he acts like talking a buncha crap, and acting scary on the phone is gonna get me to pay some money that I dont even owe them.
I know the game, I used to do that for a living. No dice.
it's sad but I was thinking from a womans point of view instead of a mans and trying to make sense of your relationship. :sheepish: :lipsealed: I figured it out
Trying to pay a fricken trash bill on-line when their system has been down the last two times I tried. So I call to pay by phone the way I used to and they tell me that once I paid on-line I can't pay by phone. WHAT? I paid on-line once and now I can't pay either way. Huh
Ummm, OK good luck getting your $ from me. And if you don't pick up my trash, I can always dump it in your parking lot down the street. Sheesh! :eyeroll:
tonight. went out with my friends for dinner, had a great time. Went to a PR party for a radio station - had a great time. Went for an after cocktail with my GF's - had a great time.
and I was home by 10:30. some of them stayed out. I just didn't have it in me. that is somehow very wrong.
incompetence... and having my intelligence/hard work insulted. Covering for people that constantly have appointments at work (which could easily be scheduled during off hours, they just make excuses). Not being able to get projects done due to covering for said people.
Being harped on from coworkers, vendors I have to deal with, friends, family, all about work.
You do the best you can for people, and it's never good enough, they always want more, or to tell you how to run your life. I don't spend my days thinking how unfair things are, I spend my days trying to make sure that someone's not gonna gripe at me about something I did or didn't do. Guess I've just been less successful at that lately.
The deals in the ads are practically a scam. They offer things like 50% off on some popular items, but only stock 3 of them. Miraculously though, they'll have plenty of them after the weekend sales are over.
IMHO it's not worth fighting a crowd to get out for the "great" deals. If I'm getting gifts for people, I'll but them at regular price, or I'll find something else to get them.
I'm smart.... I'd rather do the day after x-mas when you actually get deals, which I usually have to do with my sister and one of my cousins..
but..
today I got to be the driver of a mini-van, carrying my sister, and 5 cousins.... droppping off/picking up 2 of them at MOA, 2 at Burnsville, 1 at Rosedale, and 1 at Maplewood... only after hitting all of the Woodbury stores...
holy crap.
my finger actually hurts from flipping off so many idiot drivers.
Lotta morons on the road today. You wouldn't believe how many people I saw carelessly driving as they're reading the freakin ads... comeon, you had all day yesterday to do that crap...
Also arriving to work to find the new hire isn't here. She was supposed to cover for the day so the rest of us could have it off, but I thought I'd be nice and stop up in the afternoon so she could have the rest of the day off.. and she's not even here.
And the freakin phones are ringing... dang it.
Fired off an email to the boss. 5 bucks says he won't even thank me for coming in, just question why nobody was here.
Rain! (it's sunday) I had today earmarked to play some golf, and I can't cause it's POURING. A little misty drizzle I'd be out there, but this is buckets.
grrrr.
Now I'm going to have to force myself to do laundry and pack for mexico instead.
Hospital Billing departments and Collection Agencies.
When I was sick last Feb, I went to the Urgent Care. First they billed it wrong (I have a flat fee agreement in my H.I policy) so I fought for like 4 months to get them to send me the right $ amount. Then I paid it (Sept was when they finally sent me the right bill)
Now they have sent me to collections for the amount ($50) and I'm sitting here looking at the canceled check with the account number on it.
So I call the collection agency and tell them that the hospital is a bunch of idiots, and have to fax them the canceled check etc.
Apparently the new trend in shopping is to use the OTS information (or Ares, whatever) and know what the deals are going to be before black Friday. Then go buy whatever you're going to buy on Friday on WEDNESDAY, then take your reciept back FRIDAY to get the difference returned to you. That way you're guaranteed the item, plus you get the price.
I'd say that's irritating.. but actually, that's pretty clever. Stores tend to only "stock" a very limited quantity of an item for their super deals.
Personally, I can imagine they actually have more of them, they just aren't available for that morning. Case in point, someplace sells a laptop for 199, it's a laptop they normally stock, but since it's such a great deal, they only supply 10 of them for friday morning. Somehow, they get a large shipment of them in the Monday after that weekend, as the sale is done by then.
I don't think getting one ahead of time is going to deprive anyone else of getting one on friday morning. It's just a way to get one for the better price.
You still have to fight the Friday crowds though, as usually those prices are only good between a certain time that day.
Did you know that, according to last years numbers, neither Black Friday nor the last Saturday before Christmas had as many sales as the Monday following Thanksgiving? That's today. Apparently there are hordes of shoppers on-line at work right now taking care of their shopping. I think more and more stores will have their deals posted on-line in addition to the store itself. It brings more people to their sites who would normally never hit the stores that early in person.
Bah, christmas shopping. I'm planning to be done by this weekend. Hopefully get my christmas card done too. I'd like to have some time to enjoy christmas this year
"cert mail"
I wouldn't mind so much if I had an account, but we never have had one. They must be calling a wrong number or something.
they leave messages on our voice-mail and crap, and when I called the guy back to find out whats up, and ask a couple of questions, he acts like talking a buncha crap, and acting scary on the phone is gonna get me to pay some money that I dont even owe them.
I know the game, I used to do that for a living. No dice.
so...take the hose apart...go to menards buy a 20 hose...and well...doesn't fit...
go back and return that...
buying a new faucet instead for 90...just because I couldn't find a cheap part...
oh well...looks ok
expect = a little bit of throw up in ones mouth?

u no who u r
20mins to replace an entire faucet
edit......
the easiest way to get money
My New Years Resolution every year is to live life with as few regrets as possible.
and when a regret happens to get over it quickly.
life is too short to live with regret.
He's only 18 months old. I'm sure he woulda been happy with the old one.
Guess I'm slippin a bit.
i'm falling apart - I hurt so much tonight.
Ummm, OK good luck getting your $ from me. And if you don't pick up my trash, I can always dump it in your parking lot down the street. Sheesh! :eyeroll:

Played the entire 50 minutes tonight of my game. ouch ouch ouchie!

At one point I was running and ran straight into her (so much for my pref vision) and I bounced off by about a foot.
Mid bounce I think I did something to my ankle. I am sore.
we lost by 2. but it was fun.
- the power going out during Survivor Series earlier, leaving 10 people with nothing to do.
- Deciding to caravan out to Shooters for pool and alcoholic beverages, but 2 cars breaking down on the way there....
- arriving at Shooters to find out that the place was too packed to even hang out there...
blah....

of course, there'll always be wise people who will look at the back of their receipt at the price match policy and call their attorney.
unfortunately with that scheme, a lot of the "deal" on friday is in the form of rebates which are only good for receipts dated that day.
