I was thinking it sounded like over preparing, but then I remembered it takes us a while to acclimate to the cold, so I suppose jumping from warm weather to the extremes here might warrant the extra.
Today when I get home, I'm going to go through what I have so far, and see where I am, and I'll post a list.

Think I'm going to mail my cold weather gear there ahead of time, save for a coat - then I have less luggage. I'm terrible with luggage and traveling, and I nearly take someone out every time with a suitcase or two when leaving the baggage claim.

1- pair snowboard pants (they are so friggin cute)
1 - Columbia snow jacket
1 - North Face Snow Jacket
both are lined and have other stuff in them, so they are ultra snuggly.
1- Pair Sorrel -40 water proof duck shoes
1- Pair Columbia -40 waterproof boots
1- Pair North Face -20 hikers with gortex (need to break these in more)
4 - scarfs
4 - ear headband thingies
2 - snowboard hats
1 - goofy hat
1 - pair gortex sub zero snow gloves
6 or 6 pairs of other gloves
I'm looking for another pair of gortex gloves still
1 pair silky long johns
2 pair reg long johns
I need some advice on socks - brands? thickness? etc. I have one pair of these montana outback socks or something that I wear with my snow boots at xmas that keep my feet pretty warm, but they are kinda odd and bulky.
I'm also thinking about buy a goose down vest (not just for there, but cause I really want one and it's a good excuse to get one! Found one in hunting orange by tommy hilfiger that I don't think I can live without)
Besides all that, I have fleece sweatshirts, sweaters, long sleved shirts, jeans etc.
