I wore mine under an Ann Taylor wrap sweater last night so just the puffy bodice part was showing - paired it with a plaid blanket skirt - looked good. I was happy. :cool:

ok check this out- I'm taking more pics of Santas workshop on Wed. But, here is one from the cool "largest" gingerbread house for those of you who don't get out to see it. Sorry if I wrecked it for those of you who havnt been out to see it. I'm only posting the one pic for now of the inside. I thought Santa was inside but he was on the other side of the mall - this is what I saw when I got inside. ...

That is cool! I didn't know they had that there... I need to get out more often.

I was hoping to see if they still had a cool setup in the other city this year, but I never got around to it. When I was little my grandma would take me to some mall in Minneapolis and they always had a huge dislplay up. I think it was up year round, as I remember going and seeing a Pippi Longstocking display up there... I think it was off of Nicollet or something...

actually, yes, that was one of the TWO one hundred dollar bills I had on me- one was from the winnings of the Alice hunt and the other was from the $150 I won for coming in 3rd place at the All Star Poker Tourney last month :wink:

I remember back when I got my license....

I had failed the test twice before-hand... both times the evaluator person were really fat, super-old, crabby guys who acted like they didnt want to be there.

The third time, when I passed.... I was expecting the same deal, but was surprised by this gangster lookin black dude....I'm talkin gold chains, bling mouthpiece, jewelry all over the place... and he reeked of a certain type of plant.

he gets in my car and goes "sup dawg?"

I didnt even answer him.... probably because I was confused as to whether he actually said that, or if I was being car-jacked...

after he gets all of his paperwork in order, and figures out how to use my semi-broken seat belt deal, and after all of the equipment tests... he proceeds to ask me why I want my license...

I think I just told him I wanted it "because I wanna be able to drive".

and he fires back "naaahhh!!! you look like you play football... I bet you play football", which I didnt even have the chance to deny..... and he goes "Yeah... I know all about you, cause I do the same damn thing, homie. You just wanna cruise around and look for some tail"

I actually think I got my drivers license from a distant relative of Snoop Dogg, or something.

I was all super excited to get it, and wanting to go driving around and stuff...(although I didnt want to drive home, and made my mom do it)

Got home, dropped my mom off, took off to cruise...I dont think I had any plans at all... no place to go... no "tail to chase after" or "fine booty" to pick up.

I think I got like 5 blocks from home, and was sitting at a stop light.. I remember saying this outloud: "Damn... this sucks... theres noplace to go"

so I turned around and went home.

Sarah drove me to pick up Whitney from school today. She drove up over the curb 3 times while pulling over for people to pass us!!!

That's funny! I remember the first time I rode with my oldest he drove so close to parked cars I was afraid he was going to take off their rear view mirrors. I told him next time he practiced we'd do it up at the lake on some back roads.

First time I drove was from the outskirts of Red Wing to close to Goodhue. I was 12, and was less afraid then than I was the first time I got to 55 with my mom in the car... Gotta love those back roads...

While I'm not super impressed with this, it's getting way past time I needed something done for a Christmas card.

thats EXACTLY what happened when she drove yesterday. I kept telling her to get closer to the middle white line. I tried not to let her see me gripping the leather with my hands - I didn't want to close my eyes cause I was afraid of that feeling of WHEN was she gonna hit a car mirror!!!! I was scared - understatement! and we are going up to the lake after Christmas - I told her she could practice there ---- looks like I'm reliving your life :wink:

I think he was poking fun because they almost hit the side view mirror, not the rear view mirror (that's inside the car).

So which one of you is going to get in the car with me, and re teach me how to drive in snow?

I promise I won't get too close to the parked cars - I mastered that problem 15 years ago...
