To wait for MOA Santa go stand in line at the start of his dinner. I think he has dinner from 5-6. So get in line at 4:45 ish. Then when he gets back you are only waiting for a few minutes. This year at MOA it was nice they had a little play area for the kids and The Polar Express was playing. So while I waited the kids played....(did I mention they have a full bar for the adults in Santa's waiting area? that always helps the line go faster )
Yep, full bar at MOA in the waiting area for Santa. I like Kitch's idea. Drink, ride rides, and wait for Santa. Go on a weekday and no lines for the rides either!! HAHA!!
Cooler! But I guess I don't get it. I definitely get it and the way that the mall can make a killing on selling booze but I just can't visualize the waiting area. Do you take numbers now? That's how it should be.
Santa is in a restaurant. They gutted it and put in santa's workshop. With the play area and such in the middle. But the bar was there for the restaurant why not use it....hahaha..
there are no numbers for waiting - I love the bar idea, it is where there used to be a cowboy type western restaraunt - they turned it into a Santas workshop with a Rankin & Bass flair! I do like it. We just checked on it Sunday, we didn't actually see santa up close - we're going back on Wednesday to try and if that doesnt work than I don't know. I used to love Rosedales Santa but this year he's icky.
my girls are 10 and 15 and they still believe and see Santa. Whitney said she is gonna pull his beard to make sure he is the real Santa. I just laughed inside, knowing MOA Santa has a real beard. I swear Sarah still believes!!! The other day we were talking about Nintendo DS Lites and how they're sold out everywhere and she said she was gonna ask Santa!! and she was serious!
I had to sit with the girls and Santa when Whitney was afraid of him and would cry - I'd do it now too if it only cost the $5 it used to for a poloriod!!!!
I had to sit with Santa every year until I was 18. Around 11 or so I was getting sick of it, but when I was around 16 or so, I thought it was neat again... but I am funny like that.
I have pictures of me (taken) on the same little steel John Deere tractor from the time I was a baby until.... I think I was 24 the last year I had it done...
Kinda a tradition thing. I'd make her keep getting them. If she is sentimental at all, she would appreciate it when she gets older...
If I thought that my cat and dog would chill out together long enough to get a picture like that done, I'd think about doing it, and sending out x-mas cards.
OMG! I just opened the present my sister sent me (never mind, it's been sitting here for two days so I think I did pretty good) and its a DVD of my Mom and my Aunt Jo! It's from 1992, so Mom was 92 at the time and Aunt Jo was 98. It's 11 minutes long and from the pictures on the front it looks like they're singing!
And this from the sister who usually sends "Gosh" gifts! That's what my mom called them because when you open them you're not sure what to say except "Gosh!". :goofy:
I forgive her every regift she's ever sent me.
What a great gift OT! Welcome back Reg! A bit of good news for the holidays... my dad just had a bone scan yesterday and the results were clear... his chemo seems to be working as there is no new growth and half the tumors show that their cores are dead... our Christmas miricle - he is doing so much better than expected. That is my best present this year!
Although Ali says the MOA Santa is the Real Santa and all the others are just helpers.
we tell her santa doesn't leave presents for kids taht don't believe.
WHEN SHE WANTS...
HECK...I'D STILL DO IT IF I COULD...BUT HE MIGHT THINK WAS RETARDED...OR GAY....
There ya go
What!?
At MOA?
however - we hire one for the kids xmas party we host, and then part of his duty is to sit still for all of us.
He doesn't seem to mind being flocked by 30 or so hot women all wanting a little lap time.
:pbpt:

eh.
Although, however... I believe the MOA guy is a helper too..
Theres no way that Santa can do photo's and whatever at a mall, AND get ready for x-mas all at the same time.
He's way too busy up at the north pole.
The dudes at the malls are helper elves that earned those spots, through many, many, many years of loyal hard work.
HUH???
CHECK OUT THE BOTTOM LINE!!!

"For if you hide the medallion, even in your hearts, there will he rake for it . . ."
take those first letters, flip the "W" upside down, mix them all around and you have "RAMS" . . .
The Medallion is hidden in St. Louis this year because the Rams beat the Vikings!!!!
I'm heading out to Priceline.com for my airline ticket right now!
