One of my daughter's kids put celery on the lawn for the reindeer. They didn't tell the parents they had done it and when they went out yesterday daughter said there was celery all over the yard. The kids were disappointed the deer hadn't eaten it.

At least the deer ate nuts and crackers at our house. I don't know why Santa forgot to take a nibble though. :sheepish: :frown:

From baby cradles to IV drips, tank treads are a surefire way to up the excitement level on any product; with this in mind, here comes the tank-motorcycle mash-up, Hyanide. Equipped with a 60-hp, 500-cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, this motorcycle uses tank treads to allow its owners to travel on sand, snow and mud at speeds of up to 85 mph.

good way to kill yourself

We go to Buca's every New Years Eve. My mom reserves the Pope table back in July.

I have two gift cards to use up on Sunday too.

As of right now, our plans are to go and get sloshed, on a "build your own bloody mary" buffet, someplace (lots of bars have them, on Sundays)...

and then find something to do the rest of the day (Depending on the weather, a round of disc golf may be likely.)

- followed by road-trippin it up to Northbranch for the show.

Tuesday has been declared a National Day of Mourning for former President Ford which means Federal Offices are closed including, I believe, no mail service.

On Wednesday can we go back to just mourning that Bush is still here....? :worried:

Sweet! I get Tuesday off then... IF that is the burial day... (which it must be if Federal Offices are closed... duh)

CRAWFORD, Tex. - President Bush on Thursday declared Jan. 2 a "National Day of Mourning" for former President Gerald Ford who died this week.

The declaration means that federal offices will be closed on Tuesday.

Bush also ordered the closure Tuesday of federal departments and other governmental agencies not connected with the national security or defense of the nation or essential to public business, as a mark of respect for Ford, who died Tuesday at 93.

You just gotta get a different job, let alone a government job.

nah, government, more days off.

Then again, going from no days off to a ton of days off might be too much of a shock to my system :worried:
Fri, 12/29/2006 - 11:31 AM Permalink
Clue Master

If you want more days off become a teacher. You could teach people how to find jobs that have more days off. Kinda like the get rich schemes. Pay me and I'll tell you how to get rich.

How to get rich? Have others pay you. Duh!

So... uh... anybody planning on going to NorthBranch, tonight?

I think I'm planning on staying home.

every year, my plans always seem to fall through at the last minute, and I end up surrounded by a buncha people who I'd rather not be around.

Its looking like that may happen again, tonight.

a couple of people who i've made plans with are sidelined with the flu, and will be ringing in the new year by blowing chunks into buckets next to their beds....

(one of them i'm kinda suspicious about....I think if I find someone to drive his big, gangly ass around, he'd suddenly feel better)
