"cold in relation" has an extra space in it.

stay away from the brick wall and away from the community center

the clue is vertical but the star may be vertically hidden out there too.

they number their buttons?

That's borderline paranoid.. even the WC doesn't do that. Still, I suppose it makes some sort of sense. Easier to call numbers in a drawing and such.

Nothing stands out to me in the clues, but then, I haven't really participated in a hunt since my 2 or 3 shots earlier this year ended in dismal failure.

I think the vertical might mean the skateboarders but the term is more for snowboarders instead. It's not that big of a park so It's gotta be under something that's under something.

they number their buttons?

They're giving away a $1K camcorder this year. I always shuffle through the button bin to find easy numbers to remember.

ummm, yeah they just HAPPENED to give us these numbers! we don't shuffle to find special numbers or anything :eyeroll:

they numbered them so they don't have to give away as many prizes. Actually, it's ingenius marketing for all companies involved and bad for the consumer.

The winning numbers will be listed at Ace Hardware after the Carnival is over. If that button number wasn't purchased than they don't have to give the prize away! :frown:

grrrr I fell upon this today....

clue #5

George Washington was one

and maybe John Hanson was too.

Small scale perhaps, but the title holds true.

Who could believe that North St. Paul had one too?

Interesting. I was just at that city's website this evening (mapping project).

Falcon Heights is doing a search for the Falcon on the 28th (also during the big hunt).

Wonder if I can get a two fer in either hunt...

BTW, useless trivia. Who knows how many municipalities primarily outside Ramsey County have small amounts of land inside Ramsey County. For kicks see if you can name the towns.

White Bear Lake is primarily in Ramsey though, but yes, it does slightly incur into Washington.

Correct on Blaine, but there are two others.

bingo. The three are blaine, St. Anthony (or as they like to call it St. Anthony Village) and Silver Lake Park. The smallest incursion is from Silver Lake Park though.

It's been interesting studying maps. I've learned a bit.

FYI You can buy Buttons for the North St. Paul hunt at the Holiday on Margaret and 36 (Near the snowman). They're 3 dollars and you get a card to mail in, increasing the prize from $200 to $400 "Medallion Dollars" useable at businesses in North St. Paul.

Already got mine and the registration will be in the mail Monday.

Do you know what the deadline is for the registration cards?
