Newell's where I am going. Over the course of this day, I have watched people talk themeselves in and then out of Newell... I haven't been there yet, so I am still giving it go. Newell too obvious? Why not, then?

My philosophy is that anyone can win the lottery once. If anyone pulls that medallion out tonight they deserve it. But at this stage in the game I would still call it more luck than Sherlock Holmes. For anyone who is certain that it's in Phalen, there's someone who's just as certain it's in Newell or Highland. And I'm sure there's even someone going "you know it could be near the frog pond." Rest easy, young squire...the view never changes unless you're the lead dog, but often a leader can't be established until a trail is known.
Medallion Sleuth... they must have had TWO different openings then for the first clue... because in December they didn't know that the Vikings would lose! (OR DID THEY?) LOL!!!

Ain't gonna be me that finds it. I'm not good at the end, when it comes down to the final location. Hell, I was sssssooooo bad in '98, and only marginally better last year... That I'm *almost* convinced I'm wrong this year about the park, let alone where The Med rests.
I am getting better. MUCH! :) Reading way less into the clues. But Chair-O-Key was SO HARD. I got so frustrated - I couldn't understand anything all the udders did. It just didn't make sense to me. Was like everybuddy was talking a foreign language.
Last year was kind'a, a little, easier. But only a little. I only got like two clues. Man! Felt like I'd found The Med! I was so happy I aced "row of trees" (woodrow)!
This year... It all fits, but I see myself as a loser - a non-reader o'clues. So, I keep thinking, "I've GOT to bee wrong... Ittiz going too well..."
This year scare me. It seems too easy. Like too good to be true. Really scares me, but the clues keep coming out right.
I am sorry but why are we here and not at Newell? The clues fit like a glove. No stretches. I understand that we were "tricked" last year into thinking it was at Newell, but that is the perfect settup to actually hide it there.
Maybe Tim.... but it sure makes incredible sense.... unless it means that you have to search in the north end of St. Paul....? Still trying to figure it out as are all of you... :)
I just think it is a great way to fight back at winter and reclaim the fun we all desire to have...I have tried to instill it in our son also...it is a family event every year...I think the kid has gotten better at deciphering the clues than I have ever been...LOL
I just got back from Newell...dug a little too. But it just doesn't feel right. It's so tiny. There are most definitely some great towers to see. And the tracks....tracks on either side that join together leads you to Newell. But it still doesn't feel right. I thought maybe Como because of the "Almond" exract and you can see the Shoreview towers from Como, 1 tower and then two together, but they're elusive as you go through the park. Too, it was in Como recently. I'm not ruling out some other parks...not even Highland yet. We need another clue.
When I was reading the clues at the dinner table last night to MY kiddo's ... my 8 year old said with a sneer "and exactly WHY do we have to listen to this?" LOL!! Alot of help HE was! :o)

The exact location is never laid out, just the proximity!!!

Electric...did you just watch That Thing You Do by chance?
It's not even hidden yet!!!
testing...1-2-3...testing

No, why...did I rip something off?
It's tucked away in the PP hiders dresser!

Hey lillian,
Where are you going tonight? :~)
EVERYBODY knew that the QUEENS would lose!!! Unless of course you're ignorant to DGoofs playoff history!
Sorry, lil-- just trying to cut a tense moment on our fiendly chat board, here.
Hang in there lillian! The only reason I don't think Newell is because some kind of towers have to be seen when looking north! Do you see any?? :-)
Green..for all it's worth...I hope you do find it...I know you have been a devoted poster here since the beginning...best wishes and good luck :o)

Duane- I am going to your mom's.
Tim...what towers do you see when you L@@K NORTH??? Thankyouverymush!
Tim are their Towers at Newell?
Duane- I am going to your mom's.
To be able to fill leisure intelligently is the last product of civilization. — Bertrand Russell
but doesn't Newell seem TOO good? and what about the "pace" "ace" "chase" clue... how does that fit?
Yes there are! The silicon Co smoke stack, thh large radio tower, and or the space needle at the fair grounds.
Mushie- you are asuming WAY too much! no one knows for sure you have to look north to see the towers.
You have to look in Boreas' direction ie. North
Thanks, MedSleuth, however there are many here that are much more deserving than me.
They've been hunting, some o'them, for over 30 years. This is only my third year.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to find it. But, really, there are MANY that have been hunting way, way longer than me.
If I ever *did* find it? Everybuddy in the park would know in a heartbeat as I'd fall over dead with a heart attack! The SHOCK would kill me! :>

that is the only problem KID. I'm not sure YET. It may mean nothing at all for all we know. I think it might tie in with a later clue.
Maybe Tim.... but it sure makes incredible sense.... unless it means that you have to search in the north end of St. Paul....? Still trying to figure it out as are all of you... :)
Hey Everbody! Whuzzup! seems like Newell is the park of the day. You know, one tower would be the state fair space needle
Hey pie, I finally got it to work!
I ALWAYS keep my mind open until the 12th clue!
it is facing north from Newell
I just think it is a great way to fight back at winter and reclaim the fun we all desire to have...I have tried to instill it in our son also...it is a family event every year...I think the kid has gotten better at deciphering the clues than I have ever been...LOL
Hey Troy/Kitty!!
green is the street name your thinking of brighton?
Advice is seldom welcome; and those who want it the most always like it the least.
Does anyone know how to search back to a particular post number? I just put the number in the search area and it didn't come up with anything.
Avoid giving advice. Wise men don't need it and Fools won't heed it
That's becuz kids stay "simple" minded Sleuth... Us adults are the ones who take the clues every which way! LOL!!
Sue- I think you have to go through the outline. But i'm never sure!LOL
I agree totally Mushie
I'm 14, so if your theory proves correct then you should listen carefully to everything I say!!!!LOL
Hello all I am back
ooh, I have to admit, I don't know what you mean by "the outline", Tim
