Just wear something like this and you'll fit in just fine.

posted in my thread my list of winter stuff that I'm sending there. (too bulky to pack, and I don't need it here for now)

lemme know if there is anything else ya'll can think of. anyone recommend a brand of good warm socks? Here I wear the non-cotton thick boys sport socks with my winter boots, wondering if I just double up - if my feetsies will stay warm. Both pairs are rated to -40

You'll probably get overheated with all of that high-rated weather stuff, rememeber you'll be outside moving around and working. Best thing to get is wind protection as opposed to cold protection. Usually I go with a pullover and a hat and gloves and I'm fine.

But I'm a big hunk of man cheese, so maybe that's different...

I just got a new cellphone off e-bay that is bluetooth enabled so I can be on the phone and have my hands free while I'm searching. Exciting stuff! I'm set with my GPS and my new phone, and my herculean knowledge of all things St. Paul.

I wear half of that stuff daily here when I'm out and about. Heck, I wear my sorrels in my office to keep my feet warm.

Nah. Probably just for driving and treasure hunting. I think the things are goofy otherwise.

Out here it's a law now (for driving) you have to use a headset. several friends have the blue tooth treos. They had some problems (I think with the compatability?) you'd hear like every 5th word they say (maddening to the other person)

seems like a good idea though. I have a set that hooks into my phone like my mp3 headset and it works pretty well for what it is. My new phone contract goes into effect end of Jan - so I'll get a new phone when I come home.

This exhibit is free on Monday Jan. 15th... kids will most-likely have the day off of school, it would be good to take them, if anybody decides to go.

I think I'm meeting up with one my cousins, and her friend there....

I reccomend checking it out.

I have a great love for the Tsunami Salami and his articles. He sure does hit it head on too - not just the wireless people... all of them.

He had a great open letter to an airline recently too that was sidesplitting.

I should try to find it. What made the link you posted even funnier was that I just bought a bluetooth headset TODAY, prior to coming home and reading today's posts! So now I know how NOT to act and look while I'm using it!

Too funny! I dunno, I have long, curly hair so even when I'm wearing an earbud with a wire running to my pocket, people can't see it and think I'm just talking to myself (or them!)

This will prove to be worse, I'm sure!

I'll just grow my hair out between now and next Saturday so Becks and I match.

Do you get curls when your hair gets long RB? Or does it actualy do something you can work with?

My hair sucks.... Not really a curl thing but a screwed up caucasian afro thing happens when it gets super long..

Nothing good about long hair on me.
Tue, 01/09/2007 - 3:52 PM Permalink
Redbear

Caucasian afro here. It's why I keep it short. Back in the day, before it had different consistency (sucks getting old) it wasn't too bad, but now I look like I wore a book on my head all day if it gets long.

That's part of the curse with my hair in fact. My father is going bald. But I got hair from my moms side. It's thick, grows fast & no one on that side has gone bald.

The bad side is at the price of todays haircuts keeping my hair this short sucks. It grows way to fast,

I couldn't find the guy who looks like you did in the yearbook... but you are (were) almost an identical match...

What a crazy trip it is looking back through the old yearbooks. Seeing these people who you used to be intimidated by, or looked so much older then... look so wimpy and wussified now. And some of the girls... My daughter will NOT dress like that in her school pictures, or in school either.

Here is how young women should dress:

Certain fashionables seek to gain a kind of reputation by the odd choice of their attire, and by their eagerness to seize upon the first caprices of the fashions. Propriety with difficulty tolerates these fancies of a spoiled child; but it applauds a woman of sense and taste, who is not in a hurry to follow the fashions, and asks how long they will last, before adopting them; finally, who selects and modifies them with success according to her size and figure. -- from http://www.burrows.com/other/manners.html
