Matty B\'s is the home of the Cooler Crew. We\'ve got a party going on every evening from 8 until the clue is released. Sunday night, if the hunt goes that long, the bar will be open but food will not be available. 

Clues: 

Clue No. 1 (Sunday, Jan. 21) 
Welcome ice and snow and temperatures low 
There’s no time for cold feet! 
For searchers’ pleasure we’ve parked the treasure 
Where nature lovers each other greet 

Clue No. 2 (Monday, Jan. 22) 
Boreas\' vast realm can overwhelm 
Even diggers used to the long haul 
So here\'s advice to put your hunt on ice: 
Look no farther than good old St. Paul 

Clue No. 3 (Tuesday, Jan. 23) 
Hunters can be surly but in clue-time it’s early 
Be safe, friends, and in the hunt revel 
Near land that is high the treasure is nigh 
Vagueness rules and that’s on the level

Just picked up the kids from school and swung by HF. There's lots a land in that park and far from the parking areas. Could be quite a hike to capture some loot. Reminds me a lot of Crosby.

One of these years I have to plan vacation much better around the hunt. I took yesterday and today off and somehow it seems like these days would have been better spent next week.

I saw a few cars parked with a few people milling around. I even saw a truck with a boat empty trailer. God, I hope that person wasn't looking for the medallion.

The best days to take off are Thursday and Friday of the first week then the whole 2nd week, unless it's found early then you have a week to kick your self.

I've always 'hunted' since clue 1 but I tend not to post or noodle much of the first few clues. That just comes from my own personal experience. As fun as it is to dive in and dissect an early clue, I've never seen much as far as the results go. Plus the early clues seem to be much easier and more in focus when accompanied by a few later ones. :smile:

Heh, next year I'm taking all the days off (considering it's looking extremely probable I won't even have the weekend off this week).

I don't care if I waste all my vacation time, it's pathetic to be sitting here at my desk when I should be out hunting.

checked there last night. I actually found a blue translucent substance. However, upon closer examination was determined to be a letterbox geocache tupperware lid.

If I could convince my wife it was a good idea to take a week off to search for the medallion I'd do it in a heartbeat. As it stands, I've never been able to convince her that trudging through the snow for a week is better than Disney World. Some peoples priorities, I swear.

wouldn't be the first time people messed with other people. a bunch of people on the pp board last year were reporting that they'd found nut goodie wrappers practically by the case after the "son of pear" clue.
