Obb's is a great bar and the fact that it's back in the family is kind of cool, if they can facilitate us, I'd gladly go there.

I know from going to Obb's for fish fry - when they're really busy, they have quite a large downstairs room available. I would guess that they're not particularly busy this time of year, and would welcome our business.

To be honest, I'd kind of forgotten about it since we moved from the neighborhood. We still get there a couple times a year, but I don't see it every day coming home like I used to -- we were about a block from there.

We went to Obbs last year after going to the site with the finders and the press. It worked out just fine. We used that bar during the entire Wild hunt and it accommodated us nicely.

Are we all getting too lazy to hold the pot-luck in the park where the medallion was found?

Because last year's was lacking some integral people.

I'm not going to put time and thought into the prizes and stuff if it's going to be a "stop by whenever" gathering somewhere other than the park it was found in.

This is my input, I'm sticking to it.

I'll (hopefully) be at whatever park its found in....

If i'm by myself, thats okay. Happens alot anyhow.

Mr Nick, Clown man!

If I can ever coordinate schedules, I would LOVE to collect you and bring you into the city.

I'd make a point to come and get you, as often as I can.

I may have use of a car, soon... dunno yet.... working on things.

I'm itching to get out....usually clue 2 is when I start hitting parks and the paper....

I even have a brand-spankin new headlamp deal... :coolfrown:

just too much "crap" going on for me, right now....

Well- Just so you know..... I live in Richfield, and usually need to bypass Eagan to get to St. Paul.

I would think for the rehash the best option would be to meet in the park at a specific time like from noon to 1. I think most people can manage a hour in the cold (or they wouldn't be treasure hunters!). During that time we could see the spot it was found and do whatever program. Then at 1pm we go somewhere nearby for lunch and to trade stories and warm up again.

One idea I like for the RHB is coming up with a place to eat near where the puck is found. That way some of us can have the chance to check out different eateries around the city from year to year, and not have to drive from the park half way across town to a certain place.

We could even have some regional options. Obbs could cover Battle Creek and Mounds. You could pick something on the west end of West 7th for HF, Crosby, and Highland. Joseph's maybe for Cherokee or anything downtown. Gabe's for Como or nearby little parks. It would be good to settle on some places you know where it will be right when the hunt ends and you don't lose people while you debate where to go. Then again, everyone will know to go to the park, and you can tell people in the park where to go from there.

How about BUCA? for the RHB? I mean- I'd prefer the park, but no utilities, and it's gonna be cold. Plus it kind of sounds like people don't want it outside anymore.

OR!!!! See if the power's on at crosby, and have it there---Big.Fire.Pit. (hint)

Since it seems the weather on Sunday is going to be quite cold, I think we should have an indoor location for the rehash, or at least part of it. I believe I can volunteer my Mason Lodge. It's right next door to Como and 2 miles south of Central on Lexington so it's a good location either way (sorry, the Medallion is not at IM). We could do the potluck at the lodge starting at noon for example, and then at some point have an expedition to the park perhaps. (I don't know that people would want to have their potluck food sitting in the car while they hang out at the park beforehand). You can't drink in the Mason Lodge, but people could go to Gabe's or Half Time Red afterwards if they really felt the need.
